Infinity Wave 7,635
Hi sistrens, so Idk if this is like plain out clear to everyone already, but I thought I'd share my vision with y'all So... in the Zane Lowe interview Chromatica was said to be divided into three acts, and that with the interludes was pretty clear but I think it is really meant to be three acts of progressive "acceptance" and "understanding" to get to a final healing, a final freedom. In Act I Gaga first states she's in a place of darkness and wants to come out if it; than she understands her longing and basic need for love, then explores the theme of depression and anxiety and becoming an alcohol addict to overcome it, and accepting it and living with it, to finally admit to herself she is a free woman and can live happily without bashing herself for the trauma she had lived. In Act II, she starts again with the medications she takes to live through her mental pains and issues, her fear of people and her fear of life; still, she's human and wants to be perceived as a human being, because of her pains and despite her celebrity status. (*insert Sour candy here*) Finally she addresses where this "appearence-centric" status comes from, aka the social media where everyone has to be perfect and to seem perfect to feel realised as a human being. (*insert Replay here*) Finally, in Act III she is free. After her journey, she finally is able to recognize what let her out ot ber misery, the "sine from above". (*insert 1000 doves here*) And in the end, to close the album, she overcomes the first and foremost thing that followed and taunted her for her entire carreer and which partly drove her into her misery, which is, gossip. And she dances away this one, too. So to me, Chromatica feels like a concept album telling three interconnected, intertwined stories in three acts; and in the end the story is her healing and dancing away the pain, and she stated. I can't wait for this album, the interview made me SO hyped! Spoiler And btw I think the songs will fade into one another but just inside the three acts, so like the interludes set the mood for the act and than each song leads to the next one in a cinematic experience up until the end of the act, and than all over again with the next act. I feel like Gaga takes on different sounds, aesthetics and alter egos to present her feelings, but honestly it’s hard to choose her most personal. I’m Chromatica, she’s releasing her trauma as house/dance/edm.

NewUsername 11,406
I love that it's in acts and I just have gotten off of watching the interview and letting it sink in, because that was a lot of information to process. Like, "So what is Chromatica about?" is not a simple question to answer. Your explanation as a summary comes in handy to see the big lines again already.
