I thought she was more aware of her own issues with always being in toxic and submissive relationships when she sang about it. Seems like she is still  trapped into romanticised and twisted ideas of unhealthy love/lust affairs. Now she is literally advocating for sexism because when it’s glamorous/poetic it’s ok? what in the conservative white privilege Lana? where is the NFR growth?

Justifying her work by calling out the success of sexualised woc - who figured it all out sooner about toxic male behaviours and female empowerment - makes her look really ignorant. She is definitely not a feminist voice. 

edit: I’m well aware that some of the names she called also have paradoxal or nasty social issues, but that’s for another day.

She’s not calling them out. She literally said: “ now that woman can finally sing about what they want”

She’s saying that by these women being successful, they changed GPs and critics willingness to listen to songs that have lyrical content about female agency and wants to be able to do the same without being blamed for setting women back.

America isn’t racist, people are racist. The black people in America represent our country just as much as the racist people do. If Lana wants to sing about something that is her decision to make and you have no right to degrade her because of it. People defend strippers here every day but can’t stand behind someone playing a submissive roll in a relationship and singing about it. In reality you are the one being anti-female empowerment by posting this. This is extremely empowering for Lana to post.
