She literally looks like a drawing whereas the rest of the objects and world improved a lot and can now be considered mid-poly.  Look at the Maggie's apartment video and then look at Maggie. You can see two totally different qualities. Maybe you're expecting the parafolks to look like a sim? Also, Alex said they'll be hiring animators to polish the designs and movement. I feel like the Sims has been doing the bare minimum for years now, Let's be real with the lack of competition they didn't have to innovate all that much. They have already confirmed that you will be able to disable this in game settings.
