Chromatica is ARTPOP 2.0?

3 songs from ARTPOP were heavily using samples from other songs.

Aura, Donatella & Venus.

Now we're seing the same pattern with Chromatica, with Babylon.

Should we be worrried?

Yeah but ARTPOP heavily relied on them and it wasn't the best music.

How many times y’all gotta be told that Babylon isn’t sampling that song :triggered:

that is a free vocal chop probably available in some producer package or something :selena:

Hence why the instrumental to Babylon didn’t mention the producers of this song

And that not even sampling with the ARTPOP song either, she legit just bought whole ass song instrumentals or the producers gave her the whole ass songs lol :selena:

Why would we be worried? :laughga: Since when is using samples a bad thing? You make it seem like every single song on ARTPOP relied on samples, when they were only in a few songs. Samples are essentially just music references that typically enhance the music, and producers can be very creative with them.

Worried about what exactly? Artists sample each other all the time. And I literally did not know that Aura and Donatella were samples but that doesn't change anything cause they're still ARTPOP songs that slap.

Also they're not really samples, the production was bought by Gaga and used on the album from what I understand.

Only Venus used a sample out of those 3. She also sampled in Poker Face, Judas, Americano, recycled lyrics in Monster and FOHL? (I think) so it's not really an ARTPOP thing.

If anything this just strengthens the similarity to Born This Way

At the end of the day, Gaga's a pop artist. Just like every other pop star, she buys instrumentals and demos and writes music to them. Why is it so bad? Who cares?? As long as we get good bops out it, it shouldn't matter.

I may be hard but Gaga sampled songs since the start of her career, nothing new. Even on Joanne

Free Woman and ROM are already better than 70% of ARTPOP so the future looks promising :vegas:
