Her ROM announcement just made everyone go crazy. And stop acting likz she doesn't care, her silence is mostly bc she has work to do and this is all for us. Did you all forget already that she had a whole plan with videos, performances and a surprise at Coachella ? I would've liked to see some performances, sure, but I'm not going to be the "little monster" that spams youtube in multiple browsers to make her succeed on the "charts", I'm not going to . Not that I'm doing or not doing this on purpose, I just don't feel like it anymore. I'll listen to Chromatica on release day, buy the album, and when there's a performance I'll watch it. I think Gaga is also growing up in a way. You hear "I love my fans so so so much" only around release dates, and releases indeed are not as big of an event. An album/single cover, some interview, some performance, a music video if we're lucky. We're not going to get the Gaga 'back' that made an Applause lyric video in a bar with drag queens, even though she didn't even want it to be the lead single. Besides, the 'traditional' promo (performances, interviews, magazine shoots) are becoming less and less effective in the current streaming era. Promotion is digital now.
