I read in the news that society is nourishing a hatred towards gay people in South Korea for the gay bar covid incident

Oh true. But I think that's more the media's fault tho not the Government

I still think the Government has the right to do the tracing they have to do. If someone is that worried about being exposed, they should have been more responsible and not gone out like that and taking chances when they should have been social distancing

Shouldn't we be blaming the club owners

Technically no. Because they lifted the restrictions from what I was aware.

I don't think there is anyone to blame. People are lashing out at the LGBT community because of the same reason people in western society lashed out at China and pretty much all Asians in their country (the attitude towards Asians in general shifted a lot in the west, particularly because most people can't differentiate between Chinese, Korean, and Japanese, etc).

They are blaming them for spreading it. It's illogical, and could have happened to everyone.

I am not defending them. But that's a downside to human nature to attack what is seen as a threat. LGBT triggered the threat of COVID-19 again in South Korea, which threatens people in general. Combined with their already preconceived notions of homosexuality, it's a receipt for blame.

Not to mention, South Korea in particular is very "health for the people" first and foremost. As a nation, it values the health over privacy, which is why nobody was protesting when their phones were being tracked and they were being notified that someone with COVID-19 was in an area they entered due to the immaculate tracing they did on patients.

Not surprising. South Korea is a great country, but has a problem with homophobia.

they didn't know they had it, why blame them?

Blame the government for lifting restrictions too early.

Nightclubs opening in early may... are they out of their minds?

Tiny closed rooms with hundreds of people dancing and drinking together, can't think of anything worse.

Lion Heart

1. Why would they reopen night clubs?

2. Why would anyone go to a nightclub during these times?
