I'm a zooarchaeologist and I worked with geneticists in Europe about the woolly mammoth and the possibility to bring it back to life, a cross countries project  :firega: I had to stop though, my husband and I moved to Costa Rica for his job at the university, he's connecting Costa Rica's math department with Europe and the USA.

There's a lot of hate just because he's rich. Sounds like jealousy to me.

45.000 people work at Tesla

And Elon has enough money to pay them all until CA opens in three weeks :vegas:

Edit: yeah, he's worth 40 billion dollars. A month of payroll for all 45,000 of them at the high end average hourly rate is just over 100 million.

He can afford to stay closed, he just needs to *GASP* give 0.25% of his wealth to his employees.

Whimsical bitch

And yet people here will continue to defend the guy who supported the Nazis.

Anything to help downplay the virus as fake.

That's not how any company works. A CEO doesn't fork out his own money to pay employees. This is a publically listed company.

$40B isn’t cash...it’s the value of all his assets, including Tesla ownership

seriously, you are funny, I would suggest you educate yourself on the projects he initiated in fields of neuroscience (which is planning to make first human brain implant next year), space science (currently building & testing the biggest rocket in history which will enable human existence in other planets), transition to electric cars through Tesla and alternative energies. Also he is a pioneer in electron payments and transport systems.

Name 1 single person alive right now who has done half the things he has.

People on this site constantly put down innovators. And we need these innovators. We need the companies that build and design all of the things we love and use on a daily basis.

People like Elon Musk live in a different universe. I guarantee this has almost nothing to do with money and everything to do with furthering his space and tech goals. He see this as limit to his future. Could be wrong of course.

Oh yeah sure, he doesn't care about money, that's why he treats his employees like trash and has been embroiled in worker rights violations for years - poor him getting abused by the system :enigma:

So has Bernie Sanders in two campaign cycles. Sometimes workers are entitled too, you know.

dit

Moving companies out of states is bad for the state since it loses out on money and clout. Hope he reconsiders for the sake of California...but in a way it would be good for Nevada for example. Distribute the wealth and successful companies a bit more out of the East and West coast I guess :vegas:

Should we assume all people claiming poor working conditions are entitled based on that?

I'll save you the trouble - the answer is no, and it doesn't affect my initial point in the first place... Also, have any of you actually worked in a warehouse? Probably not, I doubt you'd be speaking of worker entitlement if you have...

It's a joke! When you give me that look, it's a joke!
