voidfigure 1,612
I finished it yesterday: Being part of (aiming to shine in) the movie industry myself, the premise was very good to me, and I was very interested to see a Ryan Murphy production different than American Horror Story. Unfortunately, my reaction was mixed: the first three episodes relayed too much on the gay prostitution thing (and I saw it coming from a mile: I really wanted to be surprised with something different) while from episode 4-5 the story picks up, focusing more on the movie aspect, which was arranged well and it raised the quality of the content. The main problem is that the series only has 7 episodes, so it's not fully enjoyable and consistent as it could have been: the minorities were protrayed with lame stereotypes imo, and the last episde is a little bit rushed (**********SPOILER ALERT*********I predicted the film was going to be copied when they said it had to be burned; the scene at the Oscars is unnecessarily long and that amount of awards for absolute beginners it's just not realistic*********). But overall the cast did a good job, David Corenswet is sexy af and the story is quite enjoyable. I only have to say, if you're a real film buff or working in the industry, half of the series is a bit exaggerated, but that's for showbiz sake right? Edit: I went off topic
Guest Adarsh
I loved the show! The part where Anna May Wong won the Oscar made me cry so hard

Queen Bitch 10,513
I have heard nothing but bad things about it. It's a shame because I usually like Ryan's shows. But this might be a skip for me.
SHALLOW 16,252
I had this feeling. that's why i haven't started it yet and probably shouldn't. I know i may like some characters but the rest is probably just what he's been doing with other shows too imo. Not interested at all and i used to be a huge fan of him

We want interesting plots.
androiduser 7,438
not sure if the sexual abuse is portrayed with a double standard, as the article suggests The show portrays predatory sexual abuse without consent, and a more open approach with sexual favors done in exchange for career advances. If anything, it portrays a wide range of examples how the system works and accentuates the difference between sexual abuse and consenting to exchange of sex for a career boost. I suspect it's one of the reasons why Evan Peters ran away from leading roles in the last two seasons of AHS lol (and considering they also are kind of related, that's even creepier)

They're related? But Evan said it was cause the show was getting too dark and depressing for him and that he wanted to do happier roles. That's why his character was funnier in Apocalypse I don't mind his shows being gay but i'm tired he always chooses to portray white good looking men, like they do literally look the same But I'd be Finn Wittrock's bitch too tbh
Morphine Prince 105,337
The show was great and those scenes were portrayed well. I have no idea why some critics didn’t like this show. It was nice.

Eido 3,670
I don't get why people (mostly American sorry) are giving bad reviews The slogan is "what if you could rewrite your story?". It is a limited fictional series, not a documentary. It has Easter eggs but that's all. If anything this is a utopia and they've never hidden that fact. Obviously people were way too racist, misogynistic and homophobic. As for if it helps the #MeToo movement... I think it is time we stop linking everything with a specific movement. Unless it has been directly said by the creators and the cast, otherwise we should stop. Also, everybody knows what really happens in Hollywood. They didn't even cover the drug addiction,... River 115,079
I'm on episode 3 now. What I really get lately from many tv shows, and Hollywood stressed on it, is that the "hot guy" stereotype of the Americans is pretty much just a white dude with a nice hair and perfect cheekbones. Honestly, for me, the hot character, these actors, are not doing it to me, it's funny how still in 2020, it's the same stereotype of the hot guy in the US, time to move on and have a different beauty standards, which are much much more beautiful and hotter So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy
