The reason I voted demo is the slowed down "be free" after the bridge and at 3:19. It sounds so choppy, and can't imagine they would leave it in like that.

They said SL was a demo because there WAS a demo out there... we heard the snippet in September.

 

Free Woman is obviously a demo, the bridge sounds very unfinished, her vocals are not mixed properly yet (too far in the background), there’s a clearly unfinished background vocal towards the final chorus and it doesn’t even have the Music Sounds Better With You sample

I'll call it a DEMO only cause the vocals and production don't seem to blend very well... almost as if they are layered on the same wave.

But my guess the vocals and instrumentals are done, they seem ready and polish enough.

I mean soundwise it's a demo but the song is done, and even though it's a bop, I can't stop thinking, where is Gaga in this? The song is just.. bland. She used to write phenomenal lyrics full of symbolism, with genius references and banger choruses but now.. I guess the production and her vocals are carrying the songs in Chromatica. Because boy, the songs we heard so far are bland.

I see what she meant by "Bloodpop used to drag me back to the studio" in Zane Lowe interview. Anyway.. It's not bad at all. Just not worth waiting for for 4 years imo..
