Hell to the f.ucking no. Who the hell would think this is a good idea???

The entire point of going to a show is the energy of a live show :saladga:

And reducing the energy of a live show to pixels on a screen and audio playing through computer speakers feels like an insult to the people putting all the work into creating something amazing.

Who would she perform to? A camera in an empty room? Why would an artist want to film an awkward show at home with no audience to connect to?

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

The whole point of going to concerts is to be in the crowd and build off everyone’s energy. There is no way to replicate that

And makeout with strangers in the GA pit. :lolly:

Not them expecting us to have as much fun watching a show in our bedroom as we would at a packed arena. What are they donna do? Program my house lights to go off right before the show starts?

I think it should be free or donation based. But just think- they already have data of Gaga's body and movement for Enigma. What if they make her into a 3D CGI performer like Hatsune Miku. I also think anime-style animated music videos would be a serve.

I was thinking it would be cool if only the people necessary occupied the venue and streamed to the people via a unique streaming source. For cheap ofc. It would basically be a live stream that would be “excluisve”

Um so they can perform songs from their album in the meantime ....? Are y’all forgetting there’s a damn pandemic and this is something to engage with fans and gives the artist an opportunity to promote their work in the interim? And they wouldn’t perform at home. They would perform in an arena with a professional set-up. It’s shocking y’all would just rather no type of performing until late 2021 when there are opportunities in the meantime to perform, albeit in a different way. The dramatics of this thread :laughga:

I don't get the rejection of this idea, what is different from paying for this to paying for a concert DVD?

You could also ask what's the difference between a studio album and a live version? And question why people were still paying to see Enigma live when the whole thing is on YT?

It's the energy in the room.

Singing to an inanimate camera and getting charged off the energy of thousands of people are two VERY different dynamics that yield two very different experiences. For the performer AND the viewer.

That would still necessitate groups of people gathering and risking their health for, basically, non-essential work.

Obviously this wouldn't get done until social distancing is increased until 50 people allowed in a space at a time, and as the US continues to decrease social distancing it's becoming more possible for something like this to happen.
