Isn't it obvious that she sacrifice her career for the gays when she releases Born This Way? :bradley:  She was at most active campaigning for LGBTQ equality during these times. Some gays and most straights got weirded out by that so they jumped ship immediately.

It took years for her to rehabilitate her image, from C2C to Oscars performance to Joanne to ASIB.

Do What U Want a flop? Not when it sold more than Marry The Night, Judas and LoveGame :huntyga:

Peace

BTW as an Album was too noisy and overproduced for GP, mostly it was welcomed by her fans, GP already lost interest in her midway through BTW album cycle and by the ATPOP people already lost interest in her music, while with The Fame and especially TFM she was at the top the world first all cuz her music was so good, it was played all over the globe, simple, but catchy full of quality pop dancy songs. ARTPOP was not a good album, Joanne was not pop and Shallow was hit cuz of the movie.

Inb4 attacking me: by hit music and hit single I mean the ones people around the globe know them, not a specific chart at certain country only for a short time.

The streaks first ended with JUDAS.

Yes it went top 10 in the Billboards chart but the longevity didnt last. Remember how they rushed released TEOG to sustain the dropping of Judas on the charts.

Judas has a great production by RedOne but lyrically was not accepted by the GP due to its religious references, and the title itself, isnt acceptable to the Christianity world. Yes you might tell me that the song isnt as literal as it would be interpreted, but the GP wont dig deep to interpret the metaphors Gaga had put onto it. So yeah, Judas musically did well but lyrically didnt. If lyrics were better, it could have sustained its top 10 charts. Admit it, Judas is more bop than TEOG, You and I, and MTN.

Another factor is the RedOne-less produced singles. After Judas, we dont get any RedOne songs anymore. Take notice how her fans wanted Gaga to work with RedOne? Since he was the only sure producer who can bring her back to the charts. But we understand that Gaga is exploring and want to evolve on her music that why she opted not to work with him again.

When she stopped releasing singles without RedOne, chances are her single would Top but only for a short time, or chart but not the top10.

it happens, you don't stay on the "spotlight" forever, trend changes occur, new artists appear, artists stop caring about that.
