Lets she the Stans try to justify her actions. Y'all can't be picking and choosing who you cancel or get mad at.

Its not like we are giving her a pass, its just that the quarantine doesn’t make much sense any more. Yes to social distancing, yes to facemasks, yes to prevention measures for those with existing health issues and the eldery, but Lana’s on a walk in the beach? I really don’t care, let her

People acting like Lana walking around just gave all her fans covid or something, but she's clearly at an empty beach, with the person she's been isolating with, and I would assume she walked there from her nearby house, which means it's not even a public beach....

The official CDC website updated it to 38,000 but changed dates to feb 1 - May 1st; you are right, it is 65,000 total for the entirey of the pandemic so far though. Main issue is none of these are confirmed as covid since hospitals can say any death as covid-related. A lot of fishiness going on from my POV.

https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid19/index.htm

^where I got 38,000

The provisional data presented on this page include the weekly provisional count of deaths in the United States due to COVID-19, deaths from all causes and percent of expected deaths (i.e., number of deaths received over number of deaths expected based on data from previous years), pneumonia deaths (excluding pneumonia deaths involving influenza), pneumonia deaths involving COVID-19, influenza deaths, and deaths involving pneumonia, influenza, or COVID-19; (a) by week ending date and (b) by specific jurisdictions.

You’re not wrong. Unfortunately no one ever reads the fine print though.

I mean, the fact that they're including a "percent of expected deaths" without nationwide testing is insane; they have to constantly keep adjusting these numbers down from their early predictions. That the downward numbers themselves have incorrect / untested deaths included is....really weird to me. Why do I feel like a conspiracy theorist for simply reading the fine print lmao? Glad I'm not the only one asking questions...

(And yeah, I get it that "the numbers trend down cause the lockdown worked", but the media hyped this up to be 10x worse than it was, and all the numbers keep changing, and first they said masks were ineffective then they became mandatory...the amount of information that keep changing to fit their narratives is increasingly worrying to me!)

All beaches are public in CA—that said, many are still open so very likely has the right to be there.

What exactly are you implying by the bolded? That text is referring to "Deaths from all causes" column in the table that is clearly for comparison purposes and refers to "the number of deaths for all causes for this week in 2020."

The COVID-19 deaths are only deaths for which an ICD code relating to COVID was issued, which admittedly could be used for a presumed case.

The coastal commission says all cali beaches are public, but tons of beaches are actually on privately owned land / areas, making them inaccessible to the public. Doesn't Lana have a house near "private" beach that she uses to get away from paparazzi? Lots of celebs live by "private beaches" like this in malibu!

"If a beach has no access except crossing private property, it is considered inaccessible."

People are acting like she strode onto newport pier without a mask and coughing, lol.

Hey, I agree with you! People are wildly overreacting imo....

Actually, tho...even if you have "private land" you have to open a path to the public and so there's been a bunch of lawsuits over the years...but you are absolutely correct that most people are unaware of that fact.

You are absolutely correct. My family owns a property on a Malibu beach and while it is a "public beach", you can only access the beach through the 6 houses (or so) on our lane--unless you kayak/paddle board in, which some have lol. I think one of our neighbours was sued tho for removing/making a public pathway inaccessible by planting blackberry bushes through it
