Is Chromatica's delay good promo?

Not really.  She can post the photoshoots she already shot and maybe perform some songs on IG ( i kinda doubt she'd do that tho) but other than that.... idk. Also we know she doesn't like to use social media

As i said, they delayed the album for a reason (not because of the virus), they need to restart the era with new promo plans (Interviews, live stream performance, mini videos, IG live, photoshoots, etc).

Let's be more positive.

First of all, for those saying no one has interest or they don’t care about it anymore, I expect to see not ONE stream of any track on Traumatica on your spotify history 

 

secondly, I was thinking about it the other day, because I was low key sad that it didn’t get the promo run it deserved. However, I have a theory that once it comes out, many places will be loosening lockdown restrictions in certain ways. If things go well that way, Chromatica could be released right on time to be the celebratory album of the year. Rain On Me? Free Woman? Perfect songs to dance to and celebrate being amongst friends again. That said, lockdowns that are currently lifted (in the US and abroad like in Italy and France), have to go well and chromatica has to be released in good timing with clubs and things opening up. It’s a stretch, but chromatica really could be that girl yet

And yet, they are doing absolutely nothing about it! I used to excuse the delay if they were switching gears for online promo, but at this point it seems they are waiting for the virus to die down instead of trying to work around it smh

Actually it's bad promo, it just increases our anxiety to hear it, and when it finally will be released, some people will start with "we'd been waiting for so long for such album and it's so dissapointing", "we were expecting more since we waited for so long" and so on.

No. With the leaks, SL hardly having any impact and the dead silence with all the delays I think she needs to rethink all of her strategies for any future albums/projects she puts out.

it's awful. the hype isn't just dead, it's completely decomposed.

the delay COULD be good promo if she had continued to promote stupid love and perhaps another single in april, but radio silence makes people forget about you. the blackpink collab had potential to completely revive the era, but now that blackpink have their comeback in june, the streams won't be nearly as high as previously thought. releasing an album during a pandemic is a whole lot better than releasing a single before the pandemic, neglecting PAYING customers and not delivering the product they paid for, selling concert tickets days before cancelling the album then leaving everyone completely in the dark.

Also, BLACKPINK will release their own album in June. There is clear time frame. Their fanbase won't care about CHROMATICA anymore, especially when we have no information when will it actually release. Uncertainty sucks and most people rather not deal with it if they can choose.

I think Chromatica is having the perfect release schedule. Stupid Love was about unity, and was released at a time when suddenly everyone had to unite. I love the timing!

I don't believe it's because we're "only caring about potential chart positions", I believe majority of the negativity is due to frustration, lack of communication from Gaga and being left in the dark as to when we can receive a product many of us have paid for.
