To anyone defending him, please keep in mind he didn't say "words are one of many forms of communication" he literally said "I think words are ONE OF THE LOWEST forms of comunication". It bothers me a lot when people misconstrude his ignorance as "missunderstood genious".

What about historical records? Classical literature? What about scientific papers that allow medicine to preserve millions of lives (his included)? He might be a musical prodigy, but his thoughts on most other subjects are nothing but pseudo-illuminated b*lls!t.

You took this too seriously

Kanye is a looney toon. I know of several teenagers who worship him and subsequently trump. It’s weird. I saw one of them staring at a baroque painting of Jesus while listening to his new album and clutching a MAGA hat and rocking back and forth and crying. Kids these days

And Paula Abdul ain’t got [BLEEP] on me!

It's the best form of communication when you can use it like a normal, educated person

Maybe; but I just find his persona (and the cult he's built around it) to be so annyoning. I do like some of his music though :enigma:

As an artist, West knows there are many ways to transmit an idea. Music, body language, and symbols are all effective ways to communicate, even though our first instinct is usually to use spoken language. According to West, however, words should be our last choice.

“I think words are one of the lowest forms of communication,” he told GQ. “Music, sound, food, dancing are all nonverbal forms of communication. We get so wrapped up into words. We got to make things speechless. We have to make things to the level where no one can say anything.”

This may sound like a crazy idea, but West is already practicing communication without words in his everyday life. Instead, he’s using his music, clothing, and even architectural choices to communicate ideas. And then there are other, less traditional methods, like beeping and swapping memories, which West is experimenting with, as well.

West envisions a world where ideas are communicated in other ways, and he’s starting that transition already with the way he interacts with those around him.

“The greatest freedom is to challenge the vernacular,” West said, before explaining an example of how he’s making that change in his own communication. When he came across Matt Williams, an Alyx designer, in a hotel lobby, it gave West the perfect opportunity to create an alternative exchange.

“Right when I saw him, I started communicating in, like, beep sounds,” he said, likening the discussion to the beginning of a Bobby Digital song. It’s unclear whether Williams understood the beeps, but when asked if he beeped back, West said their conversation transitioned into yet another form of communication.

I'll be fine if HE NEVER SPEAKS EVER AGAIN.

It'll be a better world.

How's food a form of communication? At this point he's only saying things to sound deep

You eat and let the tops know "not today!" without saying anything. :huntyga:

I mean it’s because he not good at using words himself, he has to put talking down as a whole.

I get what he's saying. Most of us doesn't even listen with the intent to understand. We listen with the intent to reply. :nails:

But I don't consider it the "lowest form of communication" though. We live in a digital world now, so I think the lowest I can consider is the use of instant messaging. Yes, it is very useful. But it's just so effortless to use, you type what you feel, put some emojis and that's it.

All I ever wanted was 🅻🅾🆅🅴

"Lowest form of communication" :huntyga:

This sent me, the ability to form words (or speaking) is literally to single most important thing that ever happen to humanity. Doesn't his entire carrer form on clever use of words??:laughga:

Also, what's with the random vehicles? His new sponsors?

Y'all are overreacting:toofunny:

He is very pretentious sometimes, but in this case, there's nothing pretentious about what he said...at all. :enigma:

And he's right, at least in my opinion. I don't know why you all act as if he said something completely crazy and unusual, because that's basically something we learn at some point in school :ladyhaha:
