Could the delay in the tour cancellation be because of the album sales?

They still count, but the customer needs to specify that they actually want to buy the album with the ticket, and there are some pricing regulations. However, new policies do not affect albums that are part of a concert ticket/album sale redemption offer bundle, where the price of an album is part of the cost of a ticket... Only the albums that are redeemed count toward Billboard's charts.

Basically, it will be harder for the artists and labels to shove the bundle sales into the official numbers, but they still have some leeway and they can still benefit from some additional numbers. They can still offer the album for free but the ticket owner must make the effort to redeem the album copy.

IIRC there is new rules where concert and merch bundles don't count for sales for charting anymore.

see my post above.. they do... it's just that now the buyers need to confirm they want the album as well... they can even get it for free and it will still count.

Not necessarily. They should do it like in normal situations:
- honor the tickets for the postponed dates for those who wish to keep their tickets
- let people request a refund if they prefer this

This is really the best for ALL fans as a whole and even also the second best for Live Nation/Ticketmaster. So I really hope they go with this best combination.

Yeah, I know about the release date, but that doesn't mean she has to film during the summer (when TCB would take place)?? That would even sound late imo.

The release date is set and announced but there isn’t an official announcement that Gaga is In the film, the articles only said that she was in talks and it was rumored that she is the lead star, no one from MGM, Gaga’s or Ridley Scott’s management made an official statement.
