Can't believe there hasn't been one comment that isn't about the album.

:saladga:

It's so sad. And people wonder why she "doesn't interact with us".

The really fantastic thing about kindness is that it's free -Lady Gaga

If you have no interest in Gaga posting about it (and you were the first one to comment), why did you comment?

You obviously made people feel a certain way judging by other members reactions.

And yes your comment was very disrespectful, no matter if it was a joke or not.

Saw the post, commented the way I felt in the moment, pressed submit reply. I live with ADHD-PI, Cyclothymia and SAD (adhd, bipolar and anxiety) and I have no qualms with joking about mental health every now and again

This might be triggering so beware but I'm just trying to show a different perspective.

Imagine a bunch of little monsters throwing letters on the stage telling her about how they cut themselves and her music helps them through the pain. What kind of person would Gaga be if she didn't do something to help those poor souls crying out for help.

I've had mental health problems and I had them for a long time while I was a fan of Gaga. Her music did help me through my pain and I'm grateful that she's prioritising mental health awareness. How can she go back on stage and read those letters again when she has the ability to help those people right now.

Try to put yourself in Gaga's shoes and think about why this matters to her so much.

The concern some people have is that they’re saying her music is the only thing that can help individuals cope with anxiety and depression. I find that to be the biggest sign of codependency, because then what happens to those same people who fall back into their slump when the era is over? It’s upsetting because when she tries to address how serious mental health is (which I know is affecting A LOT more people now with the lockdowns), people bash her and criticize her for prioritizing this over an album.

That's a very good. I've been that codependent fan in the past.

does anyone know what the BTWFoundation actually does with their money post 2016?

She donates her profits to her own foundation to claim tax breaks.

I’m curious to know why though - especially as a fellow person who identified as having mental illness.

But if you don’t feel like elaborating, I respect that.

I'm just generally indifferent. Like if she was putting out a documentary about mental health or supporting mental health related legislature I'd be really interested, but it's just an Instagram story about her donating money to her own foundation via her own cosmetic company. Which is great and all, but I already know about her foundation and its work so it isn't really news to me.

Fair.

I’m curious about the app they are working on, and what will be in it. Hopefully something helpful, like skills for people who can’t access counselling or something.

I get you. It all feels pretty half-baked, just as I said before about the Favorite post.

These are like... piecemeal messages; compared to how clear and strong the Together At Home message was.

Get the pinot ready, because it's turtle time.

I LOVE GGD

Lady Gaga eternaly lives in the "Month of Mental Health". Gaga ain´t helping much because she is stressing the f out of us by not releasing new music. A simple instagram story won´t do the trick.

Well, its her main cause. It would be weird if she ignored that the mental health awareness month just started, she fights for it for a long time.

Even an album is not more important than supporting something she truly believes and always talk about in order to help people.
