Its not bad, it just aged very bad thanks to the lyrics and to the overexposure the song had back in 2010-2011.

I said somewhere in the middle. It’s a good song, but I have to agree with others in this thread. The lyrics aged badly imo.

"634 blowjobs in 5 days. I'm really quite tired."

Alot of you were kids when this came out. Now you're much older you won't be seeing it in the same light.

We don't have shows like Glee anymore either so songs with uplifting messages like this aren't seen as fun and cool, they're just cheesy these days. If Taylor Swift had released Me! in 2010 it probs would have been a hit.

"Inspirational and cheesy" was just all pop music in the late 00s/early 10s. Imo this is what a good solid pop song should be. It should make you feel good.

That said, I think its a good song. It has a standout beat and was easy to sing at clubs and bars. It was really everywhere. Being a feel good classic pop song, of course the formula is basic and the lyrics leave a little to be desired.

Remember when the Billboard Hot 100 top 3 was

1) Born This Way

2) Firework

3) ****in' Perfect

It kinda aged badly the past few years. I was so sure if’s gonna be Katy’s most remembered song/classic but I’m starting to think it’s gonna be Teenage Dream. Fireworks is just a bit too cheesy. Although I love the nostalgia it brings. It’s a meh song though.
