Recently news has taken to the internet that North Korea's infamous leader Kim Jong-un has allegedly died following a bad heart surgery. Notably, it has been alleged that his younger sister Kim Yo-jong would take over in his place. This has created a large stir on the internet, especially considering that she would be the first female dictator of a country. However, in the past few days a photo of her running with bread came into the public eye.:

i don't know much about her aside from what's been circulating widely online. i think there's a chance she'd take NK in a different direction.  

i'm just wondering if she'd have the power to do that, though, even if she became supreme leader. i have no idea what the power dynamics are--does the bureaucracy hold any power? her uncle?

i read something about her uncle, one of the rumors circulating, saying that he staged a coupe, imprisoned kim yo jong, and is negotiating with china about the future of NK. i'm not saying that's true, what i'm saying is that it makes me wonder about the power dynamics inside the NK government. those people that stand behind kim jong un, can he just assassinate any one of them without any push back? can he assassinate his uncle without any pushback? does he really hold the ultimate power or is there a tightrope he has to walk politically that we're not seeing?

(my instinct tells me that there are limitations to the supreme leaders powers in NK; after all, you gotta keep some people happy don't you, namely the people around you, or else you just open yourself up for attack)

Running with bread in the mouth is the initiation of NK to become leader - if you can make it in tact you win the nuclear arsenal.
