Sometimes I'd watch an interview here, revisit an outfit there or put a whole album on Spotify. Today, I saw a kind soul post the link to the iTunes Festival 2013 for ARTPOP. I re-watched it and I'm such a mess. What a beautiful evening that was. The rage of first verse of Aura, the hee-hees of ARTPOP, the Sexxx Dreams bridge, I Wanna Be With U, her being extremely graphic and vulnerable about her sexual assault before launching into first a rock version and then the hard-core EDM Swine, just her stripping it all down and baring her true self to her fans, singing 7 brand new songs. Truly music not the bling. I know she's grown a lot and doesn't interact with us anymore or bare her heart and soul out the way she used to, but it's hard not to miss those times. Anyway, just wanted to say I'm really excited for the Chromatica era when it fully launches and I'm so proud of her growth and journey as an artist.
