I suppose it'd be the equivalent of Gaga going online and doing another 99 cents giveaway of her album or something, wouldn't it? It does make it less of an equivalence on that level, I agree. But I would argue that she said it doesn't feel right to release an album right now, presumably morally finding it wrong to try and make money during a pandemic. And isn't this presumably what Haus Labs are doing now with this bundle? Another area where I think your comparison might falter slightly is in the fact that her previous albums are for sale, but she's not going out of her way to promote them. They're just there. And this is different to what Haus Labs are doing, I think you would agree (even if you disagree that this matters)? My point here personally is just that is seems slightly hypocritical. But I don't personally mind the fact that makeup is being released, and I'm not arguing for that. I'm just pointing out what appears to be an inconsistency in the application of her moral compass. Also, as Crimson Heart (I think) said, it's good that people have jobs in this pandemic. I'm of the opinion it's not morally wrong to release the makeup or the album Well then she should close her merch shop too is it yes im being sarcastic

LG2008 5,187
This is ridiculous, didn't they cancelled their latest release of new products because it wasn't the time to do it and now they are releasing this "limited edition value set" with items already released? It's not that bad but...

Makes you think. They’re selling a set of makeup at a reduced price (all makeup that has been available for at least a month now) Chill, it’s really not that serious. Like someone else said, omgz makeup company selling makeup, what a shocking revelation. edit: also not that the two are connected at all, cause they’re not, they’re completely different businesses with different employees but maybe Gaga would be more open to discussing her album if everything regarding the album wasn’t being leaked. Rio 5,088
3 hours ago, Autumn said: music CAN be promoted online. several artists have proven that during this pandemic. dua lipa, the weeknd, conan gray, fiona apple have all released successful projects during this, and i'm sure gaga could too. the whole excuse of 'she can't promote it' is bullsh*t, because this pandemic has proven that online promo is a valid and viable concept. it's gaga's brand that she literally founded, y'all saying she has absolutely no say in the operations of haus labs are delusional. she's the co-founder, she can at least ask them to suspend promotional activities for a while, or at least make a statement explaining why they haven't stopped selling stuff. you forget, this is all 'limited edition' and 'special value', it all feels exploitative and careless, and i'm sure gaga has some say in the activities of haus labs the weekend and dua had successful hits out of the bag, before the album dropped. but okay. end of the day, you cant expect her to put a stop to Haus Labs. its a beauty brand, not an album - it's a business. and it needs to stay open for business like every other brand to compete in the makeup market. she's BARELY promoted it in the past 2 months lol. you don't understand the beauty retail industry, that's fine. make sure you email bare minerals, Mac, fenty, jefree star and the rest that they should also suspend their selling too. cant be one rule for one and a different for the rest. Haus Labs would get no market share and would flop. that's not how you run a successful brand. it's how you flop. y'all just impatient for new music and hate Haus Labs. learn to separate it and ignore it is my best advice to you:) works for me 💗
ARTGOD 3,266
Brain dead, absolutely and completely brain dead. The fact that y’all attacked this company and forced them to postpone a release just because you’re entitled and you are mad that she postponed the album, and also made it a moral thing . Now this?. Do you expect them to shut down the company while the pandemic is happening?. Gaga postponed Chromatica because she couldn’t do promo and felt bad promoting her album while doing nothing to help fight the virus. This is not the same thing, she’s not promoting Haus Labs, Haus Labs is not even promoting Haus Labs, posting a tweet and an instagram post about new releases that were scheduled months ago is not the same as promoting an album. Y’all need to stop being entitled little brats and stop whining every time she or something that’s associated with her does anything that’s not what you want. Your thinly veiled and unreasonable hate for this company is not cute. This company is independent and unrelated to her music and Gaga is not sitting in her living room saying “mmm, imma delay Chromatica but still release Haus Labs to piss off my fans”. petty 9,412
It’s not like other cosmetic brands have stopped pushing their products, we can’t expect Haus Labs to stop. I get why it upsets fans but I think the reactions are OTT. It’s not completely Gaga’s brand at the end of the day and there’s a lot more to it. N a t h a n 701
I don't get the hate for this announcement.. HAUS Labs has nothing to do with Gaga's music, its a separate venture. Gaga has people running HAUS for her who aren't a part of her music releases, are they just supposed to not do anything until music comes out? Make up doesn't require promo and planning when it already exists, a musical era does...
