I was singing along to Gov Hooker today and every single time I sing along I just cannot sing "Put your hands on me, John F Kennedy"   I reaaaaally wish the "John F Kennedy" part wasn't in it. I get he and Marilyn inspired the song but...oof. I cringe. I feel like it just takes away from the song, adding his name.

I've always told myself if I met Gaga, I'd ask her WHAT "I've overheard your theory nostalgias for geeks, I guess sir if you say so, some of us just like to read" because I somehow REALLY like the lyric but I need an explanation 

Ultimately, I have to pick Judas. I will never forget when it leaked and we all listened to it and said WHAT over that lyric

I think the "please retweet" means the 69 or at least it was what I've read in some place

I remember when people made a big fuss about the "chola descent" part here in Peru, because chola means a female mixed-blood (daughter of a mestizo and an india). Here in Peru there are a lot of chola descents. I'm one of them and I'm proud of it  but I don't know if it was what Gaga was referring to.

The Boys, Boys, Boys is to me the worst because it just takes me out of the entire song, like it's so out of nowhere and a forced rhyme that you can't help but just laugh at it--it adds to the campiness of the song though and i love it for that but yeah...

I have always thought that the Applause lyrics are related to the "putting art in front of pop" idea. I think she's talking about prior times, when art was always in front, but now pop culture has somehow taken over everything and art was left behind. She feels nostalgic about the times when art was the priority, and people often judge her for it (art police tweet teas), so she tells them that she knows they call her a "geek" for feeling that way, and she is ok with it because she "just likes to read", like using the idea of being a geek to explain that she misses those times when art was put first and feeling "superior" or "ahead" for understanding that art must always come first when you are an artist.

It's kinda hard for me to explain it, let me know if you don't get what I'm saying so I can try again, hahaha.
