MJ did say that Poker Face was "written by a genius" though  I wish he could have been to see her continue to grow but he definitely knew she was a future icon.

I miss him 😔 Still remember waking up at 5am before school as a kid, and seeing it on TV. Just knowing it was a significant moment! Then waking Mum up to tell her and she didn't believe me. Showed her the TV and she just broke down 😫💗 Big part of everyone's lives was MJ

I've heard it was a duet, that it was a song they wrote together, it was a song she wrote for him, there were a ton of rumors. I don't think anyone knows for sure other than it's called "Pictures" and she was going to do a set and finish it with that song.

Oh it makes sense, since Gaga wrote songs for a lot of artists between 2008-2009, and it has a probability that she would've worked with Michael.

Gaga is no where close to Madonna level, even at similar ages. Gaga needs a Ray of Light/ Music era in her mid/late 30s just to come close.

Britney was well on her way but she stalled. She is more of a late 90s/early 00s icon that people associate with that time. Gaga has surpassed Britney but due to the 2013-2017 prime years being wasted, she likely won't reach Madonna level. And that's not a bad thing as Madonna is literally the biggest female pop star ever.

I agree in terms of discography. Gaga has not achieved the kind of discography that Madonna has achieved. Nor the sales. I partly blame streaming culture. It dampens Gaga's sales but if streaming weren't in force in the middle of Gaga's career, Gaga definitely has better sales. But in terms of concerts, performances, she is already on Madonna's level. Madonna may have precision in production and choreo, but Gaga's raw talent as an entertainer takes over. So, give Gaga some time to craft her body of work. It takes more than 10 years for that. Although with the speed of which she releases albums, I'd say she will take longer than Madonna did in her career.

Oh honey Britney has had more impressive and long lasting sales and commercial success than most of her peers like Christina, P!nk, even Beyoncé. I mean Britney’s first two albums alone have outsold all of Bey’s albums BY A LOT (someone who is now considered a legend). Britney is also one of the only people to have a #1 hit as a lead artist in three decades and she managed to have a solo #1 hit 13 years into her career something that no one from generation has managed to achieve. I’m saying all this just to point out that sales aren’t what you should point out when discrediting Britney’s “legend status”. What she lacks is an all around respected image by the masses and that’s because in her entire career she’s barely ever had a say in which direction her career would go which made her seem like an industry puppet, and that’s why she isn’t considered a legend by most, even though according to me she is.

Madonna is a legend.  Gaga could be one in a decade or two.
