So what? Joanne has a piano version, doesn't it? 💀

It does, but the piano version of Joanne wasn't on the album itself.

I think Sine from Above definitely won't be a Stupid Love-type song. Let's also remember that Elton thinks she's above electronic music and looks down on it so unless he had a big change of heart, I can't see him going full tilt into an electro song the way he might a power ballad.

not Chromatica

I don't think they'll necessarily be ballads in a narrow sense, but this part of the album seems like it's gonna be a bit retro and even rocky. My first clue is the Elton feature, and the second one is the fact that Babylon samples Bowie. So I'm thinking: part I is the cheerful mainstream pop part, part II is kind of more edgy and, dare I say, experimental, and part III will be the most GaGa, if you will.

I agree! Anything that's reminiscent of Queen or David Bowie would be awesome too. Something psychedelic and funky but not dancey

Definitely!!!

It was on one of his Insta stories, and he recorded him producing a song with Venus's face on it. I hope I'm explaining that right

I have a longer version of that insta snippet and trust me it's iconic. It's electronic but at the same time a ballad. Like gypsy

Love it when you call me legs, in the morning buy me eggs 🥚

Imagine Elton John recording a house-EDM inspired song about money and sex :billie:

He's done dance music before, so I wouldn't be surprised if he did :vegas:

Could 1000 doves be a song from original LG5? Didn’t Elton say that he’s heard the original record?

I would love a song like Elton’s I’m Still Standing - it’s upbeat, fun, catchy - not a ballad, positive, piano-driven.

This would be perfect :bradley:

I hope Babylon doesn’t sample Bowie and uses the HLs ad instrumental only.  I thought the Paper magazine guy said the leaked Babylon demo snippet is not the version he heard at the photoshoot?
