You seem to suggest that mainstream artists are inspired by mainstream. That's gotta be far from the truth...esp for someone like Lady Gaga. UNDERGROUND inspires Mainstream, that's kinda how Lady Gaga became famous :ladyhaha:

No of course, but they aren't going to take inspiration from something that literally sounds like a bunch of noise that doesn't get many people to listen to :ladyhaha:

Everything evolves in music, and its clear that JB and people went to Latin American music and brought some influences to mainstream pop music. They did not go to SOPHIE :ladyhaha:

Agreed, but like I said, she's being influencial in the PC music area, which is getting bigger and bigger with the likes of Charlie XCX, so there's that too. It's not like she's a nobody in the industry, after all, Gaga herself picked her to work on Chromatica. People know her, she's just not mainstream I guess.

You are living in a bubble. No one knows SOPHIE. And Gaga choose a lot of artists and producers. She has hundreds of songs and demos with producers that you have never heard of.

SOPHIE is not a god of music, she is supported here by a large part of the community because she is part of LGBT and she is "different (with her sound)". There are a lot of commercial and non-commercial producers who beat her

sis one thing I noticed about Craig is that he kinda makes the facts in his head and won't back down until official statement proving otherwise. I'd advice you that, when it comes to debate, that you just give up :sis:

I don't make the facts up in my head :billie:  you can't say "SOPHIE influenced modern pop music" when no songs have been inspired by SOPHIE

All you guys say is "no one knows SOPHIE" when there's actually proof that people work with her AND are influenced by her work, she's just doesn't have the mainstream level of success :billie:

You guys not liking/not knowing who she is =/= her recognition in the bussiness :billie:

Oh honey. I know sophie and I even like some of her songs. But I'm not delusional. She didn't influence any modern famous pop bangers.

Someone asked where she was and he said "TBA" (to be announced). I believe she'll probably in a bonus track

You're completely erasing more underground pop acts like Charli and Kim Petras. Both frequently work with SOPHIE and much of their work is acclaimed and described as "the future of pop music" by many publications. Can't say the same for JB :rip:

Sis its only the gay community that vaguely knows who she is :billie:  yeah she worked with Madonna, but she isn't a big name

She's worked with Charli XCX who, again, is only semi popular in the gay community :billie:

Where is the "modern day pop music" influenced by SOPHIE thats played on the radio, or that people are actually talking about? :billie:

If you ask your straight friends who SOPHIE is, I bet you they won't know who that is :billie:

I'll reserve judgement until I hear an actual song on the album produced by her.

She co-produced "Bitch, I'm Madonna" which love or hate, does have good production (although I hear more of Diplo on it than anyone else).

However, she also works with Charlie XCX a lot according to her Wiki so that doesn't bode well. :awkney:

I'll wait to see if the song ever gets released in the first place.

I’d say Lorde to a degree. The back half breakdown of hard feelings sounds a bit like something SOPHIE would do if they had been brought onto Melodrama. And Rina Sawayama’s new record has a break in Snakeskin that has elements of that metallic sound SOPHIE is known for. I even think Billie Eilish to a lighter degree. Obviously these pop folk aren’t going as hard with it as SOPHIE does but I do think the hyper-artificiality They’re known for is definitely somewhere in the current even if not in the likes of the Gagas and Ariana Grandes of the industry.

Snakeskin also have the same classical song that Gaga used in her Marry the Night video :bradley:

EDIT: It's Pathetiqué by Beethoven!
