Just because Gaga is able to get a #1 doesn't mean it's a good performance. Cheek to Cheek and Born This Way are both #1 albums. Cheek to Cheek debuted with 131,000 copies, Born This Way with 1.1 million. Chromatica deserves to be explored to its full potential.

BTW and 2011 has no comparison to CTC and 2014.

Gaga was coming out of her biggest era and she had amazing deals to get that 1M.  

CTC is a jazz album, and music (physical sales) were not as big as in 2011. Not only for Gaga, but for everyone.

The era can be explored with it having 100K copies sold or 1M, if she cant explain her artistic vision unless she gets great sales then I guess it's the bling, not the music.

I’m kinda sick of anything Chromatica related including the wait for it honestly.. I just don’t care at this point and she can release it in 3 years for all I care.. I feel like she didn’t want to make this record even and I don’t see the passion for it at all.. She seemed more excited for the Together At Home concert.

Everyone should be at peace with the FACT that Covid-19 will not go away anytime soon and life won’t be back to normal until Mid 2021 in the best case 

Gaga should just do a visual album with the best she can in these circumstances  and maybe try to make her songs go viral on Tiktok

You missed the point. I was talking about how #1 is not our standards, but actually fulfilling the album's best potential, since you implied that '90k was easy to top', and that means going way beyond 90k.

It's not a matter of getting #1.

I agree with the OP and also would add that we know from Richy that he's only designed choreography for "Stupid Love," so until she can meet with Richy, she's going to have a hard time performing dances for the songs from her home because there's no choreography (sure, he can give her video tutorials, but that's not that same). 

Ultimately, it's up to her and her label when she releases, regardless of what the fanbase wants or thinks is best. In the meantime, I am thinking of the "corona era" as a bonus era that's given us "Smile" and her joint performance of "The Prayer," as well as demonstrating to the world her philanthropic side. 

Even when states start opening up, most states are going to do it in phases, so realistically, if she does release the album this year, the promotion is going to be different from usual. However, in a couple of months she'll still be able to do more than she's able to do now. 

I understand people's disappointment, but how we feel isn't going to change anything anyway, so I'd rather be understanding and patient. In the meantime, I'm going to enjoy digging into the archives of some nostalgic old favorites.

I love threads like this when Gaga literally put “Chromatica 2020” everywhere and her own photographer put Summer 2020 in the release AND her producers continue to tease its coming sooner rather than later. Scooter liking comments saying ROM is coming soon. Not to mention Blade who has been more than reliable. She’s not putting stay tuned on her website for another year nor even continuing to keep the album up for pre-order if that’s the case. It’s unfortunate what the pandemic did to the roll-out, but Interscope and other labels are going to have to adapt strategies accordingly. And that’s regardless of the fact that I’m a little “Junester,” it’s just facts.

Aren't TV shows coming back by August with limited audience? At the end the world has to keep on moving, we won't be quarantined for a year. People need to work, and also have a sense of "normality" for their mental well being. I think promotion will be an option after all this summer, just no huge live performances with huge crowds. Like I said before, I think Gaga can really do some performances like the Paparazzi AOL Sessions at the beggining of her career, just her, a screen and 2 dancers. Also, apparently she had planned to do a video with Genius to describe the album and its lyrics, which can still happen since they only require a yellow background and a cameraman who won't be close to Gaga. By July/August most of the world will have already reach its peak and hopefully a 2nd giant wave of infections won't hit us.

I still have faith on this era, IMO, it can still happen with a lot of digital promo and some physical promo as well; TV shows, interviews and some cute videos like the Genius one. If possible, Chromatica Ball can happen earlier next year. Let's just wait and pray for the best. After all, Gaga has done her thing, she helped and did a TREMENDOUS job, but she already has the lead single from her 6th studio album out and needs to keep up with the rollout, after all that's her job and we can't expect her to her job 100% done when no one else can, it's not her fault after all.
