Impact date on June 2 doesn't mean she won't have a radio deal first day

I wonder how many views come from the US and Canada on Tekashi's video lmao, probably 90%.

I believe he's a non-event outside North America or am I wrong?

Well his Spotify numbers are 33% US

And from Ari/Justin?

We need DarkGa with Bops so we can rule the industry again and learn the other popgirls how to snatch 'em wigs to ultimate baldness!!

Can you explain this? What’s the use of a radio deal first day if it’s only gonna impact it two weeks later? What is the strategy here? :oprah:

Million Reasons literally staying 3 times as long as Stupid Love on the Spotify Top 200, despite receiving no playlisting :billie:

I guess live performances and promo matter after all. :billie:

I would’ve thought it would do more noise in Latin America since he’s (sadly) of Latin American origins and he made a song in Spanish that became a hit in Spanish-speaking countries and got over a billion views on YouTube. But it’s N/A on most of those countries’s Spotify charts or very low thankfully.

What a terrible representation for that community  :rip:

The radio deal is the one that happens on first day when the song gets played like atop of every hour or once per hour (a "deal" between label and radio indeed).

The impact date is when the radio stations theoretically add the song to their playlists and starting that day (usually the following Tuesday for Pop radio), they'll start playing it (and that's when we track how many adds a song has received cause the stations report it to Mediabase). It's mostly a formality since many stations keep playing the song on their own from the 2nd day onwards but it's still a form of indication cause if no one or very few stations add a song on its impact day (or at least 1-2 weeks after), well... :rip:

EDIT: I don't know if I actually answered your question, I think in the end 2 weeks later don't matter that much cause most stations will already play it from its 2nd day onwards. Maybe it could be an indication or an incentive for stations which haven't added it yet if the song is already shaping up to do well in those 2 weeks? Or maybe it could prevent others from adding it if it's tumbling on sales/streams after 2 weeks? Idk...
