for those of you who say the album shouldn’t have been called Joanne because it has nothing to do with her aunt, take a listen to this and you’ll get why it was called joanne

The fake typewriting is throwing me off, it makes the whole thing rehearsed and not completely sincere... I think she overemphasized the aunt angle to give the album more depth.

The album is clearly about her family and late aunt. Joanne was a good title.

Only a few songs were questionable adds like A-YO, John Wayne, and Dancin’ In Circles but that was keep the fun pop sound to the album.

Only 3 songs like my boi @Twittersaid were irrelavent to the theme. Everything else was very personal to her and really opened things to us we didnt know as much about.

I agree with the overemphasis on the aunt especially since the majority of the album has little to do with it. I love the album though minus 1-2 tracks.

Since The Fame she was talking about Joanne, and I know this era had some moments (Five Foot Two) where her family seemed uncomfortable talking about it, but I don't know how people think she was faking the aunt thing in this album. It's clearly a personal album that deals with more intimate and even family related subjects. Her surname is Joanne too, what adds to the concept of a daughter of my father' thing, so, really can't understand people who can't see where she was coming from with the concept of Joanne

I don't know how to write in english

I think Bobby did tbh. You can tell from 5F2 that it all means a lot to her and that she was super overwhelmed during all of this about lots of stuff including Bobby pushing her to “elevate” things. So I think he worked with her to make this media narrative with talking points. Prob why every interview sans Howard stern sounded the same.
