I just woke up and saw the performance. John Legend sounded out of place. He ruined the amazing performance that Gaga, Celine and Bocelli had.

What song(s) did Gaga perform I was asleep

Smile by Nat King Cole but with a jazzy vibe in it (I LOVE IT) and The Prayer by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli with them and John Legend

Well that was a whole lot of hype just for an awkward marketing video to sell the idea of expanding vaccinations and Subliminally call for a global super government :selena:

The songs were so sad that I endured only 2 hours of pre-stream and fell asleep. :messga: Now just keeping up

I wish it’d have been a bit more One Love Manchester and a bit less One Foot In The Grave :messga:

Upon reflection, I feel that this was all hype. I was hoping for some kind of coming together party.
Instead we got a funeral service.

For me, the only performance I Particularly remember/fresh in my mind, is Gaga’s Rendition of “Smile”.

(I was also disappointed that Gaga was only on for about 6 minutes during the entire 8 hours! I wanted a few more songs/duets from her as she did help to curate it. Becky G had more screen time than she did)

Credit to all the performers, they did a good job. I guess I was wanting something I’d never forget.

I sat through it all from 7.30pm until 2.30am (U.K. time) and sorry but it wasn’t good at all none of it (seen gaga this morning) I was expecting something more along the lines of live aid but at home .

I loved it! What a feat from everyone involved to put all this together in such a short amount of time. Gaga did an incredible job curating such a variety of performances, many of which I had never heard about before. Makes you really appreciate all the performers and how they and music have the power to bring people together.

Was this event even a “success”?

I see nobody talking about it. Could just be me. Anybody else hearing good things or know of any others that watched?

Again it’s just unrealistic to expect Live Aid level of slayage, since one is in a packed stadium with roaring audience and the other is in a living room.:saladga:You just cannot replicate that energy and magic.

I think they did the best that they could.

Nothing against John legend but what was that during 'The prayer'? In my opinion he didn't do a good job.

What do you all think about the event? I watched a bit but continued with an online pub quiz with friends and I'm happy I did that :flop:

Let’s be honest, this whole thing was just one step above the Imagine video, except 8 hours long and hosted by Stephen and the Jimmy’s

Taylor’s performance tho, that slayed me

The prayer kind of flopped, it doesn’t need four singers and an overly aggressive piano player. They included Lang Lang because he is from China and they wanted this to be a “global performance” but the piano recording sounded off and it was a little too aggressive. John Legend was obviously not necessary and it could’ve done without Celine. I’m sure it was fine for most people but not exactly what I would’ve wanted from a Gaga performance of the Prayer. Smile outsold

I agree. I liked some performances including Taylor, Gaga and The Rolling Stones. The John Legend thing during 'The Prayer' ruined the song a bit for me.

Beyonce told "this virus is killing black people" side eye wtf GIF
Can you imagine someone telling "this virus is killing white people" ?

We should be together now and treat every human the same and then she decided to mention this racial divide. If people like her will all the time scream "we are black, we are different, better etc." how can we all be unite?
