Guys, I've found that about 50%-70% of the original assets for Gaga Ville still exist in the game, with the sad exception of the Electric Chapel and the Album Hologram being gone. Unless you had them in 2011, you won't have them again -- but I'm working on digging the graphics out.

Well, I have some good news. You can play about 70 percent of the GagaVille content that was once there. I've dug up a page that lists all the things there were:

and painstakingly looked them up in the Facebook Flash app of the game as it's running.

Most of the Gaga assets are programmed to exist in the Celestial Pastures (outer space) location. However you can put them in your home farm from buying them in the Market button.

The original GagaVille farm seems impossible to visit so far, even though that screenshot I posted yesterday teased it as a viewable, interactable farm you could go to. I've asked veteran players of the game on Reddit and Facebook if they can still access it, no one can, apparently the last day for that was way back in 2011.

I do have plans to email Zynga and ask though. They have literally nothing to lose by bringing it back. The game has plummeted from 100 million players/accounts in 2011 to about 100,000 active players today. If we were to bring GagaVille back, even just for this fanbase, inevitably, Farmville fans would love it too. A majority of Farmville players are bored seniors and kids, from what I've discovered. 

The biggest bummer besides no Gaga Farm is that the Electric Chapel building and the Playable Born This Way Album Hologram are gone. (or at least I've not discovered them in gameplay yet or the farms of other players yet)

However almost all of the characters, including the infamous Motorcycle Sheep, are still inside the games purchasable assets, and zooming in with the mouse does show incredible detail on them. 

I just took a screen capture of the sheep revving up ! 

 

So, from being someone who knew zero about this game 4 days ago, I now have a motorcycle sheep, pulsating lady gaga sign, and a few crystals from the original 2011 game scattered accross my farm.

There is a GIANT learning curve to this game. There are no clear tutorials that I've found yet. I've been plodding through clicking around through total trial and error, and stubbornness, because I want this Lady Gaga farm to be real. 

However I did discover that once you hit Level 15 in game you can travel to past worlds and farms. Sadly, Gagaville is not a travel-able location anymore, but these assets from it are still live.

So I figure, if I plug away at this, I could eventually do two things, possibly a third:

1. Recreate , as closely as possible in the game -- a Gaga farm populated with only Gaga items 

2. Hack out the actual SWF flash resources to create something like a Panini reusable sticker set --- essentially, all the pieces that made the Gaga farm, but something you could play with on your own computer -- without Farmville needed

3. Contact Zynga about possibly resurrecting this awesome content.

 

Anyway, I hope you try it, it looks really fun. Part of me is thinking of restarting the game on an entirely new facebook account so that i could fully play it and not annoy other friends on fb who hate those annoying game update posts.
