You will find this A13 incredibly fast, with a much, much better camera, including portrait mode.

It’s for those who want a cheap, reliable iOS experience who doesn’t care about design. This is not THE iPhone. That one comes out in fall. Performance-wise, It’s basically faster than anything under $800 dollars. It has arguably the best chipset you can get on a Smartphone, same as the one on the iPhone 11. This will be updated for at least five years so you can say that this is of value. Shame, the body looks dated and the screen is bad. Inside though, it obliterates anything other than its more expensive brothers. Let's not say obliterate though. Exynos and Snapdragon are closing in on every day performance with every generation. General usage is way more important than some benchmarks. 41 minutes ago, SHALLOW said: Yup. Even Androids are getting brave It's the heightening cost of R&D. I think a lot of people forget that more than just manufacturing goes into the price of a phone. 36 minutes ago, LetsGetHigh said: Imagine still releasing a phone with a home button and those ugly bezels in 2020. Apple really is out of touch. And no one tell me it's cause of the price point, so many amazing phones are priced at $399 that have the latest features. The home button makes it easier for the older people to continue to use Apple or even switch from things such as flip phones. You might laugh but it's definitely still happening. Things such as swipe gestures may seem intuitive to us but definitely aren't to an aging population. 23 minutes ago, ARTPOPSYCHOLOGY said: People have been using the “they need to change before someone else takes over” argument for 8 years. They’re doing great sweetie. This argument seems to be working as upgrade cycles have continued to extend and people are now hanging onto their phones for 2-3 years. in Q3 of last year, iPhone sales were down over 10% year-over-year. While that may seem pretty modest, we have to keep in mind that sales were around 40 million iPhones, so that's around 4 million less. Apple may be doing well overall, but a lot of that has to do with its continued focus on services. 16 minutes ago, ANTI WP said: I think you should Google " latest 400 dollars phone " and look those designs for yourself... you keep discussing about the iphone 8's Physical appearance... those designs are long gone dude ... Single camera for 400 dollars is not it ... You can laugh all you want ... I don't mind A lot of companies are using outdated designs for their budget phones. Most of the Samsung A series look the same and have a similar design to the iPhone on the back. Moto still has the same bump it has had for years. Pixel a series uses the same principle design it's always had, though it moved away from the wedge in the 1. Why does the quantity of cameras even matter? Arguably the best budget camera phone is the Pixel 3a, and it has one camera. It's about computational photography, and Apple has caught up pretty well with that in the last year. Kattys 4,319
Very excited for this. My 8 plus model was stolen, so right now I’m using old iPhone 7 with crappy battery. This model is definitely a nice upgrade, and I love classic iPhone button. Definitely I’ll consider buying this one, price is great too.

If you want a Plus model, an SE Plus might be released within a year, provided you can hang on to that 7 for a while longer. You could also change your battery and wait it out. People sit at home and generally spend more money online than in stores—given that many are closed. This is a strategic marketing boost for the success and sales of the iPhone SE. If every company had to stop launching products because of the COVID-19 virus, the entire economy would collapse.

A better camera (same as XR) - supports portrait mode 3. Stereo recording 4. Faster LTE 5. Wi-Fi
BenG 19,908
To be fair, Apple has been working on this phone since last year, way before COVID-19.

You stay in the ecosystem at a much lower price.
