I've been a fan for over 10 years and I've seen the noticeable shift in how Gaga interacts with her fans. She used to LOVE us. There was no other star at the time that put so much of their energy into interacting, guiding, and listening to their fans with their peak stardom. With the years passing and the fans becoming nasty and overly critical of every decision she's made I don't blame her for limiting little to no interaction with us. She's a human being like everyone else who has to juggle life issues as well as being one of the biggest faces on this planet.

She's not responsible for your happiness. Yes she's an entertainer and it's the career she's chosen but she's not here to cater to the needs of every single fan. She's built a tremendous platform for herself through hard work and she has the right to decide how she's going to maneuver her career. She's suffered mentally/physically for a decade trying to create art for the world, but fans still find ways to be upset and complain? To the point where they drag her appearance and the people she works with? Some of you are grown adults who shouldn't need to rely on an entertainer as your primary source of happiness.

With the position that she's in working with world leaders trying to find ways to raise money while bringing people together through solidarity, the thought of promoting a personal project right now is completely selfish and tone deaf. I don't understand how some fans don't see that, especially with the immense star power that she has. She'll promote the album whenever she feels ready because it's HER work not ours. Having to deal with all of our BS she still finds ways to spread love and kindness while her fans are bitter because of the postponement and "poor management". It's pretty hypocritical calling her selfish when we're the ones creating nonexistent release dates and expectations and then getting upset when they never are never met.

At the end of the day she always proves everyone wrong and fans don't appreciate her choices until they see the apparent success. Rant over :huntyga:

Inb4 they come in saying “it’s not entitlement to expect music from a popstar!!!”

I expect music from her, yes. However - she’s also a human. I only expect music from her when she says music is coming.

This has been said a lot already.

Gaga is now in her 30s, she's not going to act the same way as when she first came out. The Gaga from 08/09 is honestly a different person. So comparing her now to then doesn't really reflect the fans' behavior IMO because let's face it... the internet is terrible regardless and stars know better now than to "read the comments." I don't think this fanbase is better or worse than any other.

And I just have to say... Gaga's livelihood depends on her fans being engaged in what she does. So with a massive upset like this delay, you can't expect fans to suddenly not care. It's a double edged sword.

I would expect fans to be disappointed because of a delay - I was sad too. I don’t expect them to be downright ugly to her and her team and then say that the delay is why their mental health is declining.

well the way her team has been mgmt her isnt that great either. so dont put all the blame on her fans, who helped her tirelessly throughout her entire career.

Except for the ones that aren’t. I made a thread about it a while back and a lot of people came for my neck about it. There were people who were very serious

just dont let them overheat you. i cant take things seriously on a forum.
but i think every fa who has ben upset about the delay is being in a way right. she gave us a date, for an pop album many of us were expecting for years.. and after that she doesnt say a word about it anymore. ok, she's probably gonna talk about it after the event. but three days ago was the first release date and she didnt even recognize it.

I can promise you that the majority of her fans aren't too upset about the postponement compared to the small percent that we see here and twitter. Yeah admittedly it sucks that we have to wait longer for music and promo, but many of us have other priorities to worry about. Yeah it'd be nice to have some new music during this time but like what was stated earlier, it's not Gaga's job to make each of us happy during sh*tty times. She has people that she works with that depend on her and they can't do work and make money if there's no work if we're all quarantined. You have to be realistic.

I would argue that the livelihood of her career at this point depends more so the GP than the niche group of fans that have been with her for a decade. That's simply the reality of it. She's an A-list multi-millionaire artist now. With all of that being said that doesn't mean she can't be authentic with her work anymore, it just means that every little detail concerning her career has to be managed at her star caliber. For example, you simply cannot compare her management to someone in the likes of Dua Lipa who's only been in the mainstream for several years.

but do you think that postponing an album without the new release date already set is a step a artist her caliber should do? this is the only think that upsets me about the postponing. \
