Same thing happened with Femme Fatale. Granted it ended up being massively successful singles wise, it was intended to be much more R&B oriented until her label brought will.i.am on and he changed the whole direction of it. It's sad her label does this because the albums she has more input on, ITZ, Blackout and Glory, have ended up being her best.

So the common theme in this thread is will.i.an is awful lolol

I remember hearing about this a long time ago. It sucks we couldn’t of gotten the original concept because it could have been one of her best. Will.i.am completely ruined it! I don’t get the appeal of him or why Britney herself likes him so much. His production is sh** and he ruined a what could have been a personal pop perfection album.

What was the original concept of it tho

It was more so sonically different, but there were some thematic differences. The album was about her ex-fiance Jason Trawick, but the original concept sounded like it would have gone much deeper and darker thematically.

I don't think that she liked working with him, except for maybe on Scream & Shout.

Femme Fatale had its control switched to Max Martin and Dr. Luke, not will.i.am.

The way her label think they know Britney more than Britney herself... and tbh, thank god will.i.am is now focused on trying to rehash the Black Eyed Peas, at least he's not alone wandering the record label ruining everything he touches

When Taylor was speaking up for women in music industry not having control over their own decisions, I didn't think Britney would be one of them. Also it just ruined Work Bitch. I remember B saying "it's what fans want, so I had to make that song". It makes more sense now. Great selections btw, really fits the OG concept. :awkney:

not Chromatica

When she breaks free, and I know she will eventually, oh boy... That will be the comeback of all comebacks!
