God Control 2,181
Couldnāt agree more. American Life. Ray of Light and Confessions on a Dancefloor are among the best albums in existence and the best fromĀ Madonna.

I think AL sounds and feels more wholesome than both of those. It's the only time I see Madonna showing a true unmasked vulnerability and is an absolutely flawless piece of work. Even if the title track isn't great musically, it literally is what it talks about, the track talks about society and the modern world and an overproduced pop track is a great way to channel those emotions. It's an amazing albumĀ Madonna was right, she wanted the personal to become universal with this album! Unfortunately it didn't work that way but at least those who connect to it understand why it is one of her best! I remember when at first I didn't like AL but after listening to it a few more times, X-Static Process LITERALLY hit me! I was bawling like a baby and I didn't know why! I didn't even know the lyrics or what it meant! There's something nostalgic and "antique" about it! In fact I like most of AL because it gives of a nostalgic feeling. NCgaga 4,324
I thoroughly enjoyed American Life. However Ray of Light isĀ Madonnaās best Album, followed by Confessions in a Dancefloor. Again I love American Life, however, for me a lot of theĀ tracks sound tooĀ similar and are a little too simple for me. But I still bump to that album to this day. āNothing Failsā is one of my favorite songs of all time. This album, like most of Madonnaās albums was ahead of the times. This was also one of the first times one of the pop girls was rapping in her album.Ā

Honestly, it took me a while to listen to music, I didnāt like it at first, but after a few listens I gotta say itās one of her most underrated albums. Itās amazing IMO,Ā I love it
