Isidro Guevara 821
Like, just listen to it! The sound of regret and cynicism in the title track, the anger and bitterness in I'm So Stupid, the identity crisis in Nobody Knows Me, it's all a MASTERPIECE! This album feels like it's the underdog of Madonna's discography but I'm here to say it's actually her best album she has ever made! Sue me but it is better than Overrated Light and Confessions! I've listened to all her albums and none stuck with me in a personal level like AL! The others are interchangeable but this one really stands out as a really great work of art! Even she has said it is her favorite of hers! What do you think? Is it her best album? Why or why not. I'll WRECK U right Up...G.U.Y.!!!🌋💥

LOVEDRUG 10,431
I agree! It's the only time I see Madonna showing a true unmasked vulnerability and is an absolutely flawless piece of work. Even if the title track isn't great musically, it literally is what it talks about, the track talks about society and the modern world and an overproduced pop track is a great way to channel those emotions. It's an amazing album
lupuselectro 508
This is definitely not Gaga Thoughts However I agree, it’s one of the only Madonna albums I tend to listen to really, definitely in my top 3. Very cohesive and experimental. Love the lyrical content too! In 𝕮𝕳𝕽𝕺𝕸𝕬𝕿𝕴𝕮𝕬 no one thing is greater than another, and kindness rules all.

Maleficent 6
Yes it is her best. I wish people would admire the the deeper cuts like "Intervention", "Nothing Fails" and "X-Static Process". There are also some stellar demos from that era Spoiler
Davian 44,859
Taste! Madame X is my personal fav (very controversial I know lol) but American Life is my second fav! Everything on AL is just perfect. Lyrics, production, meaning etc. In this thread I tell more about why I love Madame X so much: What you want Lady Gaga🥂 What you want with Christina🥂
Spock 20,290
nah, Erotica and/or Bedtime Stories are her best album though American Life is massively underrated who will love me when the night is over

Noir 16,535
Yep! X-Static Process is cruelly overlooked in her discography. I love this album so much, not to keen on many other Madonna albums but this is brilliant.
sillynate 6,170
It’s a really wonderful work of art. I love Hollywood because it’s so... it’s like being naive to the negatives of fame. Love it don’t even get me started on X-Static Process
Fame Romance 10,517
4 minutes ago, Venus Rose said: "I can't say I've listened to a Madonna album in full." This one and Music are the only ones I've never listened in full because I extremely disliked the singles. But I don't think any of those can top Bedtime Stories or True Blue.
