Guest
Agreed. Best album she put out. 1989 and Red are great too. Lover, not so much. Not after Reputation, anyway. imo
Arturo 40,746
Reputation is definitely one of my favorite albums of all time. I think it’s Taylor at her best. I really love Lover as well and personally I think Lover and Rep are stronger lyrically and melodically than 1989 but Reputation just holds a special place in my heart. My favorite parts of Rep: Taylor’s verse at the end of End Game. Just perfect. Delicate, of course the song as a whole but that 2nd verse Dancing With Our Hands Tied should have gotten single treatment over Ready For It the song is amazing. The production, the harmonies, all so euphoric. And that bridge ... “kiss you as the lights go out, swaying as the room burns down” AHHH Dress, her first sex anthem is so fun to sing along to and I love the harmonies in the chorus. I listen to the album every day tbh
ARTPOPSYCHOLOGY 6,270
Omg I agree. LWYMMD is absolutely iconic. Amazing. Perfect. I did something bad (I agree the tour version) is amazing. Getaway car is my favorite taylor song ever after New Romantics. Amazing. The album is her best. As for ERA, 1989 had one of the greatest rollouts for an album I have ever seen in my 27 years of life. It was perfect. From start to finish. And honestly I didn’t even love bad blood that much
ShayCristoforo 10,607
People were less interested in this era and tbh I don’t think her work was great. Red and 1989 were massively successful and masterfully produced. I don’t think Reputation comes close Get the pinot ready, because it's turtle time. Trying not to ruffle any feathers. It is a thread open for discussion. My opinion isn't the only one that matters here. However, if your opinion has racism, sexism or just basically pure hate (wishing someone die), I'd rather not. My opinion is that was the first album since whatever Love Story was on that I didn't really care for. I think she tried to be trendy and go for a sound that didn't suit her, the "snake" narrative was played out well before the first single, and yeah. But I acknowledge that you and others like it! Reject False Icons 4,770
It was the crest of the wave look what you made me do premiere on the VMAS where Katy hosted and the day after when we all talked about it wow the last massive pop event, too bad Bodak yellow went viral not so long after
stupidlover 42
It's her best album. I Did Something Bad, Don't Blame Me and Delicate deserves to be #1.

raragaga 8,119
my favorite songs of hers are from other eras but reputation is 100% her best 'era' xoxo
StrawberryBlond 14,870
It's the only Taylor album that I gave a halfway decent score. It was a very different album for her as she was actually singing about a guy she was currently with for once and was opening up about how he'd changed her and gave her sexual confidence, which is so alien to hear from her. She also owned her personality flaws and was self aware for the first time. And I'm a sucker for a "pop girl goes dark" era. The downside was, the lead single was the only proper big hit so it's understandable why she returned to the 1989 aeasthetic asap. But she definitely benefited from showing a different side to her. Spock 20,290
I disagree yeah the tour was amazing but like another user said, there were so many missed opportunities 1989 was an INCREDIBLE era, everything was executed absolutely perfectly and from the Shake It Off release all the way to Grammy night it was an EVENT. I've been a Taylor stan since Love Story and seeing her get all that success, acclaim and global recognition was amazing who will love me when the night is over
