I just don't get the album cover

It doesn't go with the (alleged) theme of the album at all

It looks straight from Born This Way

(on the other hand so does Stupid Love)

well, it looks like the pink behind the gate represents the world of chromatica, which is the album itself

she kinda looks like she's protecting it

Yeah I think we are still missing a lot of info about Chromatica even if she has spilled some tea. The concept is looking deeper than I thought.

Have you checked the Charts Thread today?!

I went through all pages and haven't seen anyone noticing this, the tribe logos are included in the cover and can be seen here:

To answer some of the questions asked in this thread:

Gaga's US (shop.ladygaga.com) and France (shopfr.ladygaga.com) shops are powered by Shopify. The other stores (UK, DE, AU, CA) are not powered by Shopify. The shop platform is chosen by the local department of UMG (e.g. Universal Music Group Deutschland for the DE store). This is why every country's shop looks different: each shop has separate designers.

Some direct URLs still show the uploaded coverart as it has been cached server-side. It doesn't actually exist anymore and will be removed when the cache expires.

The image URL that has been referenced in this thread was uploaded at 23:00:18 GMT on Saturday. The image without any processing was uploaded at 22:58:59 GMT.

I find this fascinating and I thank you for this. I never knew

Do YOU own the 4' by 6' Perfect Illusion promo Poster? Will pay you for it. Pic: http://i.imgur.com/UWuzumk

Hmm, don't know about it? It's kind of gives me Ru-girls-trying-to-make-music teas because they all tend to go with that bright pink and loud aesthetic. That said I also get The 5th Element teas, which I like.

Oh that would make it 10x better and make sense. I like stuff that tries to tell a story.

You're not the first one to bring up the 5th Element and I have to say I don't really get it, this picture is much much darker than anything in 5th Element... To me it screams Alien and The Matrix. Was just curious what specifically led some people to bring that reference up, other than the high fashion science fiction aspect of it.

Why it reminds me so much of the Hair artwork from BTW. I really hope its just part of the photoshoot and not the album cover itself..
