He knows he is in the wrong, for he never backs up his claims, or pays any attention to the fact that he has been proven wrong/called out twice now. It saddens me when people want so badly to believe in something, they turn a blind-eye to the truth. In my opinion, that is the death of democracy; when one pulls the veil over their eyes just so the world can be what they want it to be. It is an extreme version of "rose coloured glasses", that can end up destroying lives of others and our freedom of beliefs. When we say people need to "wake up", this is the kind of person we are talking about. It is one thing to be blind and misguided, it is another to be willfully blind.
