I'm really glad she postponed the album.

I agree and feel the same. I want this era to be the era she planned.

Same! And I mean... it can't be a carbon copy of what she'd planned before the pandemic got so bad, but maybe something really good can come out of it, something that she didn't initially plan!

Well yes, there was. Since it was all based on speculation, the people who argued for the postponement were dubbed little postponers.

I was a little postponer :ally:. I'm definitely glad she postponed it. Gaga's return to pop music needs to be more epic than some living room piano performances...though I'd gladly welcome one or two of those right now...

She's still not going to be able to do what she wants for this era, which sucks.

I was so surprised that the album date was announced so soon after stupid love was released anyways. Does gaga usually announce her albums along with the leads? I never followed that closely before.

it's just that nobody ever wanted it to be cancelled as I read.. Until she announced it herself nothing was obvious.

So I was a little postponer too because I kinda saw it happen. Even if I didn't wanted it.

hello hello baby.

There were definitely people who wanted that, tho. I argued with some of them.

Agreed! Also no, that never happened. We would usually get the announcement before the release of the lead single, but would have to wait much longer than one month.

There will be serious recession worldwide after this is over, are you sure she won't shelved the CHROMATICA indefinitely because most people will be poor? :billie:

Interesting...so I'm wondering if the quick announcement was to capitalize on whatever promo she had planned, like Coachella or was she trying to get it out of the way to work on other projects later in the year.

Maybe both. We'll see.

I agree that this is for the best, even if it is a bit of a bummer. I do hope we at least get to hear a new song soon!

You mean to say there will be no new music in the world? At all? :billie: don't spread paranoia, let me remind you Gaga debuted and peaked during the last recession so maybe this is her good luck charm :derpga:

OT: you're completely right and that's what I've been trying to say since.

Can someone please tell me what's the wrong with the World Health Organisation? Are they an illuminati outlet body or some ****? What's the conspiracy theories regarding the organisation?:cryga:

One thing, they won't allow Taiwan to be part of the organization, which is just rich, considering that Taiwan is one of the only countries to have actually contained COVID-19 without destroying their economy. (This goes beyond WHO though and is a problem of the UN, which doesn't recognize Taiwan as a country, and WHO is part of the UN, so Taiwan can't be part of the WHO until the UN grants them membership.) Instead, they consider Taiwan a part of China, which has been very unhelpful considering it has its own independent government and a very different society.

People also have criticized the WHO for mishandling the COVID-19 situation, in particular for initially downplaying its seriousness/dragging their feet in labeling it a pandemic, and not informing the world of the virus back when they found out in December and suppressing information, which many view as the agency trying to placate China at the expense of the allowing the virus to spread. There also are criticisms regarding the advice the agency has given regarding combating the virus, including regarding masks.
