I'm pretty sure this was never true. If I remember it was more like he was overseeing her accounts, like a second set of eyes because she was so busy/bad with money, and she trusted him to make sure no one was ripping her off. She clarified this in an interview (I want to say Howard Stern?) but I don't have time to check atm
