Um, I'm critical of the way this era is being handled. I supported SL when it came out. Bought the single, merch, streamed, everything. Being critical of the way the era is being handled is not the same as hating  You guys need to learn the difference between criticism and hate.

The delay is 100% helping it's sales. For starters, it's on pre order now for a lot longer. There's time for SL to grow, for another single.

I really couldn't see it doing more than 115k max if released in two weeks. 

Now it'll be released (hopefully) in a non corona environment

The stupid love roll out was perfect. It's not her teams fault it kinda fell. She secured top 5 with the MV release and Apple deal. 

They couldn't do much else with the album, we went into lockdown like a week and a half after first single release

But in all seriousness they are a record label they need as much money as possible. Also I'd rather wait a month or two as delay if Gaga will get a bigger opening week sales especially in her pop come back era

I don't think the sales during this postponement would have a significant boost. Many people right now are getting their salary cut or even not getting paid at all during these quarantine. If not getting fired during these corona outbreak. So a lot of people will have to choose their priority. And buying music will not be on top of their list. There will even be some recession happening if this quarantine gonna last until after the Summer. It had postpone many things now, and it will bring a bigger damage if this drags on. So if you, Gaga, or her labels looking for great number of sales, nobody will have it.

 

With that said, I have no doubt Chromatica will be #1 album even with all of these happening. She have a large fanbase and they will help her to stay afloat. 150-200k sounds about right.

More like 2024-2026.

SARS which is deadly, but not as deadly as COVID-19 does still needed 2 years alone to be contained. I imagine COViD-19 would take longer times, since it spreads faster and on many more countries.

By that time, not impossible CHROMATICA would already be old news. Especially if Gaga and her label release no new singles in those time span. It is like eating a cold pasta. And who did enjoy that? Nobody. Not to mention, there will be a lot of other artists, musicians who would also release their albums too. And I am pretty sure her and her label aware of this as well.

The only choice Gaga have now is to eat her words, her earlier statement, and release the album anyway if this outbreak not getting any better when Summer comes. It will not be a good look on her but people will understand given the circumstances.

You don't need money to stream an album. Let's be real the only people who physical buy music are the fans of the artists and those who enjoy collecting physical albums. The majority of people stream in 2020. Spotify is free. I'm so tired of people using financial hardship as an excuse

But Gaga is never a stream force though? She cannot rely on that as majority of her crowds are still into buying physical records.

ASIB was huge because it got a blockbuster movie backing it up. Even then, 162,000 of 231,000 of its first week sales are physical sales than streaming, as per Billboard report. Shallow streaming was slow burn. It was only get significant stream numbers by week 2 and on.
