Ok you guys so I’m fresh from listening to the album. And I gotta say, as someone who has been hyping this up so much since Physical floored me, I feel like such a clown :flop: It was... alright. It was ok. I feel the same thing I felt for the debut. It’s ok.

Future Nostalgia 10/10 - Really good introduction, I love the chorus and the post-chorus, very groovy and dancey.

Don’t Start Now 10/10 - Also amazing, deserves all its success. The baseline is killer, the disco instrumental breakdown is killer, everything is killer about this song.

Cool 6/10 - It has great production but that’s it. If anything, the prechorus gets you hyped and throws you into an underwhelming chorus. It’s ok.

Physical 10000/10 - This is so so so good, one of the best songs of 2020. The chorus is so heavenly and it’s just so incredible it makes me wanna cry, it’s that good.

Levitating 7/10 - It’s fine. Dancey and groovy, but forgettable. I had to listen to it again right now bc I had forgotten what it sounded like.

Pretty Please 7/10 - Nice bassline, incredibly underwhelming overall.

Hallucinate 9/10 - Pretty great song, the production is incredible, has a very club feel to it. It’s the non-single that impressed me the most for sure.

Love Again 6/10 - Another one I forgot what it sounded like and had to check out again. It’s also just fine. Don’t know what else to say other than ok.

Break My Heart 10/10 - This one actually grew on me a lot since I heard the leak. Very groovy as well, very upbeat and fun.

Good In Bed 2/10 - It was alright until the chorus hits. Dear mother of Judas that was atrocious. It’s literally earrape, it was so painful to listen to. I don’t give it a 1 or a 0 bc the verses are not that bad and I like the bubble sound in the chorus. That’s it. Overall awful song.

Boys Will Be Boys 7/10 - Pretty odd song, doesn’t fit at all into the album, and as a closer it feels even more odd. But it was nice.

Overall I’d give it a 7.5/10 maybe. It would be lower if it wasn’t for the singles. It’s just, like I said before a lot, nice. Alright. Meh. I stand by my word that this era was an improvement for Dua, she really served everywhere. Except on the album :neyde:

I really don’t get the massive praise. Like where? It’s so basic, what saves it is that it has a retro feel which makes it seem like it has a unifying theme and sound but other than that it really is mostly basic and forgettable. I don’t know if people are just thirsty for classic pop jams, bc wow was this made seen like a masterpiece game-changing album. It’s her first album but with less songs and a disco vibe. That’s what this is.

I’m so disappointed, I was so hyped and excited for this album and now I feel so played :bradley: The singles really were leaps above the rest of the album. I’m such a clown for hyping this to hell and back. I normally like what most like, but wow do I feel like y’all listened to a different album. And to some putting it at the same level as masterpieces like TFM, what is the matter with you? :selena:

No, I’m worried if this ends up being the best album of the year (although it already isn’t bc After Hours) but still. If nothing better comes out I’m really worried.

Well that was an unexpected twist huh? I still can’t believe I really didn’t like this that much. And y’all didn’t help with your infinite praises. I’m so mad and sad and disappointed bc I had insane expectations and none of them were met. Is the bar really that low?

But anyways, good luck to Dua, she’s a wonderful human being and she deserves success. But I guess this was confirmation she’s just too basic for me. I thought this album would change that but no. God I’m so disappointed I can’t :bradley:

Scheibe

I loved. Many say that it is basic, F4gs not everything should be a deep and presumptuous hymn with 8 minutes of duration.

Mediocre at its best. All the songs sound the same. The first two singles and BWBB are the best ones.

That's it. And y'all know I'm right, but now you have decided to overrate her.

Bubblegum Bitch

I loved this album. I didn't have some high expectations, so I'm not disappointed with Future Nostalgia now.

Future Nostalgia, Don't Start Now, Physical, Levitating, Hallucinate, Love Again, Break My Heart, Good In Bed and Boys Will Be Boys are marked and saved to my Liked Songs playlist. :enigma:

Future Nostalgia - I like it, original and perfect way to open the album. 7/10

Don't Start Now - What else to say... killer track! 8.5/10

Cool - Cute bop, not single-worthy tho. Boring chorus. 6.5/10

Physical - This song has written timeless pop classic all over it. Best song. 9/10

Levitating - Good track:applause: love the lyrics and the bridge in particular. 7/10

Pretty Please - It's very catchy, but easily the most forgettable track on the album. 6/10

Hallucinate - Definitely a highlight of the album, that pre-chorus is THE BEST THING on the whole record. It screams hit and I need a MV:giveup:  8/10

Love Again - Amazing intro! Interesting song, I think it's gonna grown on me. It may have single potential.  7.5/10

Break My Heart - It has hit written all over it, it's a massive disco bop that reminded me of many different other hits tbh. 8/10

Good In Bed - Well, now I see why someone compared to Lily Allen stuff. I was expecting much worse from what I've read, it's quite good honestly:billie: I would say it's a highlight, since it's different from any other song. 7.5/10

Boys Will Be Boys - WOW! This deserves way more attention! Amazing lyrics, I loved everything about it. I would say it's the pop ballad of the album, perfect closure also. 8.5/10

ALBUM SCORE:  76/100

It's a GREAT disco pop record. Cohesive, good lyrics and awesome productions. You can see there's a lot of work behind it. I love the 60s and the 80s influences I felt here and there. No bad tracks, the best ones imo were: DSN, Physical, Hallucinate, Love Again, BMH, GIB and BWBB!
