Expect the next week to be even worse.

But GGD would have me otherwise screaming for Bernie Sanders to disappear, that he only gets things done for show & when things are back to normal will say, “he doesn’t get things done.”

Tell that to the millions of unemployed who will now be covered under unemployment insurance benefits and the millions of people who will be made while unemployed.

I hope those who've been financially conflicted by the corona outbreak prevention procedures can be rightfully accommodated and their files for unemployment get approved.  this reminds me how blessed I am to work for a company that is continuing to pay its employees during this downtime- many others are no so fortunate :( at a time like this- do what you have to do to get what you need and be grateful for what you already do have.

It probably will get worse

Last week Canada got 1 million

Proportionally speaking that like the US getting 9 million claims so imagine that :duck:

I'm just hoping once things open up again we get a V snapped recovery like the 80s and 90s recession not a U shape like the great depression or the 2008 recession we do not need to go thru that again :saladga:

If it does more people will die for reasons related to poverty than the virus itself. Sad but true :toofunny:

It's popular to have opinions on policy based on looking at only one perspective. U have to look at everything. Not just the damage or danger from one source but everything

Ppl are looking ONLY on the damage of the virus and lives but it will lead to poverty related deaths too directly or indirectly even if they don't get the same kind of sensationalist media coverage.

I don't know what the answer is. Cuz doing nothing in a pandemic is not an option.

But I think the discussion of how far is too far and where is the line where u create more harm than good is a perfectly reasonable question and subject to debate

If this doesn't let up soon, it is not possible to just stay in lockdowns for 6 months or a year till we get a vaccine without a collapse of gigantic proportions

No Government has money to just pay ppl to stay home for a year. It's just not possible :emma:
