My concern with yesterday's post was for workers, not because I care about whether people are buying more makeup, and I am fine with her delaying the album. Please try to be more civil, Madling, and don't make assumptions. I was actually saying that I hope no one is dragging the girl in the yoga video like they were on the HL Instagram yesterday. This is a law. Last I checked, selling makeup isn't an essential business. As I said in much greater detail on another thread, it's not clear if HL is having Amazon employees fulfill the orders, which would be legal since Amazon is allowed to stay open (I'm not sure if all HL orders are filled by Amazon, or only the ones placed on Amazon), or if HL employees have brought home inventory and are working from home and having a postal carrier pick up the orders (which also would be legal), or if they are violating the governor's order by requiring employees to work outside the home to fulfill the packages (which would be illegal). Considering one of their recent posts was all about working from home and encouraging people to self-isolate, yes, I found this decision to advertise a makeup bundle to be stupid, especially given the recent government order. It'd be one thing if they said order now and we'll deliver when restrictions are loosened, or if they explained that their employees were working safely from home, but given the global pandemic and California law, yes, I found the post to be poorly worded. I care about workers' rights and well-being, and I want to eradicate this virus ASAP so we can all get on with our lives without living in fear. That's it. That's why I thought it was a misstep. It could've been marketed differently and not been a misstep. I still am a HL fan. I've spent close to a thousand dollars on their products and will continue to buy from them. I'm not one of those people who was whining on their IG page, and I'm not bothered that they announced this the same day that LG announced the album delay. (I think she made the right call.) So back to this thread: As I said, I hope people weren't giving the poor girl doing yoga a hard time. That's it. She's doing something nice trying to help people relax during this difficult time. And thanks for the Paul McCartney GIF. The Beatles are my favorite band, and I'd never seen that footage. Paul looks great with a full bushy beard.
