thefamebitch 834
I bet he’s sick (not necessarily COVID-19) but he’s afraid people are gonna run with it lol. Either way he should do more, this is such a winning topic and he doesn’t have to trash Trump at this point either to even say something about the virus. People are scared; rise to the occasion. Provide comfort, remind us of the good times. If you’re running for the highest office of our country, we deserve to hear your on going viewpoints of most challenges our country faces... cmon. Hybrid AT 78
This isn't about sickness. It's clear he doesn't want to debate because he knows he's the presumptive nominee and holds an insurmountable delegate lead. He's flexing that. Any debates are now futile at this point. He should just continue to ignore Bernie and focus on Trump. He's doing just that. If he were scared of debating Bernie, he wouldn't have attended the first one either. Some people seem way out of touch with reality. Bless their hearts. "I was protected by the monks of Azarath, I was raised by my friends. Lion Heart 15,041
Yea he shouldn't. The Primary is over at this point. Plus with a nationwide pandemic going on, I think it's better if he focuses on that. That being said, he has completely faded in obscurity while Trump is doing those press conferences daily. I will never understand how any sane American watches Donald's press conferences and thinks he's doing a great job. Unintelligible. ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀

Whispering 18,865
When Bernie got crushed in Michigan that was the end of his candidacy. Biden won handily in almost all of the swing states. Bernie doesn't have the ability to appeal to a broad coalition of voters, especially voters that will show up to vote. At some point you will have to face reality. At some point you will have to face reality. He's a grumpy curmudgeon who surrounds himself with and is terribly advised by yes-men. No wonder why he's planning to stay until June with clearly no path. This piece was an illuminating insight into why his campaign tanked. It was crumbling the whole time with mixed messages from the top staff. The delusions of grandeur ran pretty deep, let's just say that. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/21/us/politics/bernie-sanders-democrats-2020.html "I was protected by the monks of Azarath, I was raised by my friends. I find that not only the people on GGD, but the moderation team at GGD are very biased in political discussions. 2. I think that if you go back and look at when Bernie had his heart attack, the amount of ugly and disingenuous posts regarding the degree of transparency that Bernie gave (which was just the same as other candidates) are much less than the number of people calling into question Biden’s health. This is despite the fact he had multiple brain aneurysms in the past. Despite the fact that Bloomberg is about the same age as Bernie, had the same stents put in that Bernie did as a result of a heat attack and nobody cared about his medical records when he was in the race. 3. And then for you to say that it’s not our business whether or not Biden is healthy and not infected with corona virus in the midst of a pandemic when Biden is almost never making public events, coughing in interviews and constantly losing his train of thought and saying some of the dumbest gaffes of his career is so infuriatingly ludicrous. If you can’t see the double standard, I don’t know what to tell you.

Reginald 13,841
We know how this will go: Bernie will still show up and it will be a one-person event where he delivers the most passionate, convincing, and rational platform out of all remaining presidential candidates. He'll definitively prove to America why he's the best candidate to save our country, and no one will listen. "Why don't you vote for a progressive?" "Because no one does." "Well, why don't they?" "Because no one votes progressive." "Okay, but why not?" "Because no one votes progressive" "........"

We should be rooting for Trump to do the right thing, for the betterment of the country. I get why people say this, but you're literally talking about rooting for the impossible. Have you seen the daily press briefings lately? Trump managed to sound almost normal for a few days, but soon reverted to "that's a nasty question", "you're fake news", etc., mixed in with "it'll all be over by Easter" and similar nonsense. He's not sane, and I'm not exaggerating.

If you can’t see the double standard, I don’t know what to tell you. 1. The mod team is made up of individuals who give their time for free on a voluntary basis. We don't have to be unbiased in discussions of any kind, we're human just like you & other posters. 2. I see that double standard, but I am not a part of that double standard. When Bernie had his heart attack & released all the information he did, I thought that was enough. I guarantee you if you go back and look at threads concerning that topic, I was just as against people calling for Bernie to release more and more about it. 3. There is a huge difference here, and it's that we have no inclination that he has coronavirus. It's just a random thought because he coughed. It's ridiculous for him to address this if he doesn't have it, because it doesn't matter. This kitten over here (meow)
