Leoj305 3,627
Seems like a label trying to pit a new pop girl against an established one
JINNOCIDE 3,825
The way y'all agree with this unnecessary shade just because it fits with your narrative of being upset that the album got postponed, even though y'all know the era would be EMPTY as hell 'cause she wouldn't be able to do the things that were planned at first. But god forbid your waiting for new music extends a little I swear the same people mocking her due to the album delay would be the SAME complaining about lack of promo if had she not delayed and released it on April 10th. shame 25,360
Dua is in her Fame Monster era now. They'll say the same snarky thing about her in her 5th or 6th album cycle when a new pop girl comes to dominate. They did it to Madonna, and they'll do it to Gaga. Pitting one female artist against another? Will be nothing new as long as the misogyny in the music industry continues to flourish angels forever, forever angels

S0436 10,215
Yeah, the pop sound that Gaga made from 2008-2012 was a sound that was unsuccessful and like what everyone else was doing
GagaCoop 218
The thruth is that dua lipa with this album has really elevate herself to from the status of wannabe to popstar. i really think that the album is amazing. Is so fresh, disco dance and I love the remind to some big tracks of the past. it’s so different from everything that is out in this moment.. and it’s a risky move. I really admire her. but saying that Gaga wanted to create this sound for year is not true. Gaga created ARTPOP and Joanne which are distant from the sound of FN. the problem with Gaga is that - in my opinion- I understand the aim of her last 2 album, but the final result lacks of something. ARTPOP has some good songs but is so confusing and it has a lot of fillers .. plus the sound is not COHESIVE. joanne instead is cohesive but it lacks of hit. The discussion is clearly intended to be negative, hence you copy pasting reviews shared by ATRL users where the response was just the same. Of course we're gonna notice it, we're fans and we care about what's written about her Dude, just stop with the dramatics. I'll @ you when everyone's making threads about some random fan blog praising Chromatica when it's out lol, I guess we can only discuss worthless Billboard reviews or something? if I intended the discussion to be negative I would've added some fabulous "guuuuurl they spilled some TEA here t'night" gifs but I didn't because I know at least 50% of this forum doesn't like Dua and has no problem with Chromatica being delayed So stop projecting and take care of your issues, keep them out of my threads. Gaga has never chased that type of conventional beautiful ear candy pop "perfection" that Dua provided with her new material. And Dua's new album does not bring anything new to the table, it uses the exact same formula and pattern that made 1989 by Taylor Swift and Emotion by Carly Rae Jepsen so acclaimed and loved. You can rarely go wrong with that artistic direction. It's sooo so obvious. This is something I agree with. Not bashing Dua, the album is INCREDIBLE so far and I'm sure she'll deliver, but it doesn't sound risky at all...? Like, I feel like the album goes through the safest route, disco vibes. That's NOT a bad thing at all, tho. STAN RINA SAWAYAMA

Illuminati Freak 2,432
Gaga doesn't chase anybody. She's a leader not a follower & has always marched to the beat of her own drum. This reviewer needs to take several seats. Have they forgotten Gaga's legendary achievements in Pop music in the last decade? When will Dua be an Oscar nominated Pop star? I left here because this forum got to the boring point of only discussing the stats of SL flopping while I was literally BEGGING people to start talking about the lyrics and what they mean. The responses from "fans" I got were: "it's not that deep", "it's just a mindless bop", etc. I only came back because by now SL has undeniably bombed and fans are finally not talking about Gaga's commercial success anymore. And I can also tell you that Madonna fans hate me here 'cause I was the most ruthless critic of fan favorite Rebel Heart. I'm not biased towards my favs. Yes that is a reason a lot of people hate me here 'cause I'm not afraid to be objectively critical but that doesn't mean I'm a hater Now be quiet.
