I agree with @Mr S tbh. There's a clear shift in how high pop albums are getting rated, and it's not really lining up well with how albums of other genres are evaluated. And it's also not a fair system. Katy's albums, for example, have been notoriously slammed every single time even though, imo, they're not that much worse than, say, Selena's records, which are getting a scary amount of acclaim these years.

Look Dua is new and fun to listen to, but for them to drop that dry shade and say her sound is what Gaga needs is lame. Gaga’s style is Gaga’s style and it’s u predicable and her Grammys seem to be happy with her style. 
 

i DO agree that now is the time when we need new music more than ever to have genuine fun music moments at home and bond with the songs even more because of it.  I really think she’s making a huge mistake by allowing the postponement. If she’s worried about sales, The Weeknd just smashed in this climate so she could’ve too

Wrong to think dua had any choice. Her album leaked and the pandemic is getting worse so it's better to get the album out ASAP. A decision that makes sense 

Gaga's is two weeks away. It'll be worse by then, she only released her single three weeks ago and was never able to even start the era. A decision that makes sense 

It's really not a one size fits all. Every case is different here.

Gaga “chasing” a sound?  please she sets the mf STANDARD... anyways, her postponing the album is definitely a bling not the music moment. And it was very UNkind for her to make us wait even longer for the album just so she can collect more coins for her already vast wealth.

Everyone should know by now I don't give a rat's ass about Gaga selling singles, I'm only here for the music. So when I say a single flopped it's by no indication whatsoever a "drag" or whatever.

What tricks? Mind bending?! I'm literally only pointing out the numbers. I don't know why you want to bring up NRO but I can tell you the "twice as good" is just completely false.

NRO opened at #15, fell to #28 and then further to #29.

SL opened at #5, fell to #30 and then rose to #25. And it's rising further now. It's not a hit yet but its definitely performing better than anything Gaga released after 2013.

Streaming wise NRO crushed SL up till now, so I won't accept that

Also did they lie? Gaga mentions disco music all the time but never seems to truly deliver it since 2011... Take several seats. Dua served and those are fact. We can only dream that Gaga will do era like this again in her career. 

She released 4 singles and the album is not even out. 3 official singles and 1 promo single. She released like 2-3 versions of videos for each single and even lyric video for promo single. She performed DSN 20 times alone. She is actually trying to do something for her album. I will actually drag everyone who dares to say something negative about her when she doesn’t deserve your pettiness.
