LadariousGarage 1 Posted March 22, 2020 Share Posted March 22, 2020 So, I know there have been probably like 5 million f*cking threads saying what I said but I don't really care also, dear mods, I know there probably have been a million threads on this, but please don't lock it and say I could've just posted it in another thread, cuz like nobody will notice it there, and I need my opinions to be validated Anyways, with the rumours of Chromatica being postponed, I need to rant First off, quick disclaimer, I am not blaming Gaga, I am blaming interscope, because if it IS postponed, it is likely their fault There is NO reason for her to postpone it, yes, she can't do as much promo as she would like, but she can do other things, like a live performence in a empty venue, or like social media promo, song snippets, teasing to keep the hype up (which I wish she had been doing, but its not too late, I think she might once we get closer to the album tho) she could still have good, solid promo just on social media And, The Weeknd just released After Hours, which is predicted to do 400k in its first week, which is pretty f*cking good not gonna lie, Coronavirus is clearly not damaging stream numbers, yes, less physical copies will be sold, but that may be made up for with streams And people have more time to stream music, listen to music, because most people aren't working/going to school And, experts are predicting that Coronavirus could last until August/September at the earliest, and postponing the album until August/September or later would hurt it anyways, people will lose their hype The soonest she could postpone it to, without ruining the hype is May/June, and Coronavirus is supposed to peak around that time, sooo............ And she may be having promo issues because of Interscope, with recent releases (like Rare) they would do alot of promo in the begenning, and then go quiet until the album release, which can affect the hype, which will cause it to not do as well on the charts Anyways, thank you, and stream Stupid Love off Chromatica out April 10 pre-order now Lets do it baby I know the Law Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Releasing the album 5 months after it has been leaked is plain stupid and would hardly be compensated by a performance on SNL and Jimmy Fallon! She could do some livestreams in order to promote the album and also make videos on her YouTube Chanel to promote the album even more. Economy 50,216 Posted March 22, 2020 Share Posted March 22, 2020 Well I don't know how the rest of the album will do in streams and if the second single features Ariana that too would change things I know Stupid Love has been badly affected by corona more than most songs Given its doing disproportionately well on Radio vs streams.... Gaga is on the loosing side of the corona impact cuz where she's doing best (radio) has less audience now Edit: However we should consider both the risk of leaks if it's delayed. Also consider the fact that if Ariana is featured in second single as we believe, Gaga should have no issue getting streams there If she can get digital promo on Spotify or Apple music, that too would offset any impact of less radio exposure tho I suspect more artists will try to compete for digital promo now Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

After hours did great in streaming services and chromatica can achieve the same success if she decided to move her ass and create a strong hype (and don't quote me if u will start with the Coronavirus stupid narrative ) I mean the ariana collab (if it ended up to be true) could help the album even more to do well in streaming services..
