Granted. Is it also mandatory to publicly support their actions?

I don't know enough about the IDF to comment on that, but from what I do know, there are many moral layers to the situation, especially if you are directly tied to the conflict. For example, some people saw the attacks on the Middle East by US as necessary after 9/11; some saw it as bad. I think both points of view have merit though, and I do understand where both are coming from.  It all depended on the point of view you had and your connections to either side. It's not always as black and white as we sometimes make it out to be.

Killing innocent people is NEVER right and you should not understand that concept at all.. Publicly supporting literal killings and illegal land stealing is awful and she should not be in the situation where we praise her because she sang a song with few of her ''celeb friends'' :awkney:

She is from Israel and it's mandatory to serve.

It’s not an excuse, you can always say no and fight against it.

me and a group of other 17-18 years old were against it for obvious reason, we were sent to 6 months in jail because we refused to serve the IDF until the end, they came to our houses and took us by force.

Am I gonna do it again? Hell yeah

I think every Israeli should fight against the mandatory service And the corruption of the IDF and it’s war crimes.. “most humanitarian military in the world” my ass..

Now I can't watch Wonder Woman 84:noparty: That's ruined for me.

You can watch without giving them money. That's what my friends who follow BDS do. You can separate the art from the artist

Well, as someone who lives in the middle east, who is directly affected, and whose father was almost killed in the 2006 war Gadot served in, I think it's my right to have strong feelings about this.

Plus, careful, because most of what you said sounds like propaganda that aims to seem "moderate" and reconcile both sides but is in reality a way to give the illusion of a level playing field when all evidence overwhelmingly points to the IDF being in the wrong. If you care about having your facts straight you should do a little more research and not fall into the convenient centrist position

I would feel weird to watch a movie where the main character is played by someone who supports IDF.

Knowing what I now know, I totally respect and understand your strong feelings towards this. Like I said, from my limited understanding, there are terrible things that have taken place on BOTH sides, and as Gal is directly attached to Israel, I just was trying to point out that she would naturally lean towards that side. You, however, clearly are living that, so I do get where you are coming from. But you have challenged me, and I do intend to research this more, as I don't know enough about it.
