Like I like the line Battle For Your Life but I feel like it’s just really out of place, like then she starts talking about gossiping, it’s confusing me Can anyone help? It’s really a dance record centered around Babylon (“Battle for your life” refers to the fall of Babylon I guess) but she throws in some lyrics about gossip to get that double entendra. Battle for your life -- there was a battle of Babylon, and knowing her she probably uses it as a metaphor for her life. But there's just a small snippet of like three lyrics... so. The purpose was to build it as high as possible until it reaches the Heavens and eventually God himself. At that time, humanity only speaks one language as per the bible. In order to punish the humans, God disabled their communication by creating different languages creating confusion between the Babylonians and leading to their demise. As of right now, we know that Babylon is about gossip and fighting for your life. We can say that Babylon is about defying the sovereign and fighting for unity I guess.
