Because China is a dictatorship and doesn’t tell the everything (as we’ve heard several times on the news) but I respect your opinion

EDIT; yes we know, they’re taking tests on people who are in danger and we have 4000 cases with all in total they think

Sweetheart listen to yourself. China has achieved great things no doubt, but the government lies all the time. We would think they would learn their lesson when other viral outbreaks occured in the early 2000s but they haven't. They put the entire world at risk. So kill us for not believing a word the Chinese Communist Party has to say.

Arrogant and ignorant people from this thread are the same people who said “it’s just a flu” and “China is forcing people to stay at home, no freedom at all.” There is no newly confirmed domestic cases, still people being treated at hospital and still some confirmed cases from abroad. 

Because of the differences in politics and ideology, you guys choose to judge everything happened in China, to believe news with obvious bias. What the local government did at the beginning was indeed terribly wrong but the officials got fired soon after, and the situation started getting controlled. Meanwhile look what Boris is doing in UK, what Trump is saying about ‘this is life’. All the efforts from the country, from every doctor and nurse, from each delivery man, all of these seem invisible to you.

Is GGD a platform for fostering political and ideological bias?

Fair. I’m wondering if there’s something newer being reported from this week. I was a little suspicious about their “no new cases” announcement especially after they allegedly tried to cover up the outbreak months ago. It’d be nice to actually verify what the current situation is...didn’t someone post a video of China resuming BAU practices again?

It’s funny how people here think that the Chinese government would go through 3 months of hysteria and bad news coming from China and not stop that information from spreading but as soon as there seems to be a slow (which is EXPECTED with efforts of disease spread mitigation) its suddenly like “we can’t believe them!”

Pretty sure most disease experts would say that after being ravaged by the disease since December and several efforts to stop the spread, that it makes sense that by mid-March the disease is slowing down

I don’t see the point in fabricated numbers. The early 2020 numbers from China were horrifying.

I believe the no reported cases mean no new cases for native Chinese. However, there are cases of people coming into the country.

China I guess is resuming BAU practices however, we don't know the truth of how under control this crisis is in China. The same way they hid the virus in Dec 19 and Jan 20, they could now be doing the same to give the illusion that things are under control. These are not facts, these are just what I'm assuming can happen.
